He is going to put the parts he wants out of the DEM bill up singly while leaving out the parts Bush wanted completely. This way he gets credit for each one and if Bush opposes any of the DEM ones then they can blame him.
They predicted this on Brit Hume's show last night.

That's funny the Republican stimulus package called for a 13 week extension of unemployment. Now Dasshole is trying to maake it his own idea.
This man hates Americans and only the idiots from South Dakota are too stupid to see this. Present company excluded.
To: Arkinsaw
Yep, that's exactly what he's doing.

This is how the Dems wanna play it. Unemployment extension will pass..then its on to the House's plate.

This is good. The unemployment is separate issue anyways. Lets pass this and get back to asking why the Rats are against stimulating the economy to prevent more unemployment.
To: Arkinsaw
If Bush flexes his muscle with the GOP Senators and tells them, "You better not let it even go to a vote", then it won't matter. They, and the GOP controlled House, have the votes to kill it piecemeal. They can say that it won't do any good without these other things.
To: Arkinsaw
Did they think Dasshole's going to get away with this?

Nickels from OK ir ripping Dashole for using the 60 vote cloture requirement. He said its a recipe for getting nothing done. He also ripped into part of the upcoming farm bill.

He very well could get away with it. After all, they got away with blaming the government shutdown on Gingrich. These people are not so good at governing, but there are none better at creating a crisis and blaming it on others.
Bush and Republicans can defeat the parts that are unacceptable but the DEMS don't care about that, they are looking to blame.

Time to play hardball with this clown. I would block everything he wants until he agrees to schedule real votes on all the issues, including ANWR and Bush's appointments.

What would stop a brave Republican from attaching every tax cut from the stimulus bill into Daschle's unemployment bill?
