I can honestly say I haven't watched the Olympics since they were in Los Angeles. Any value they have as a sporting event has long since been overtaken by the merchandising, fluff and PC nonsense that surrounds them. The IOC is a truly reprehensible institution that seems to exist primarily to see how much graft it can generate. Then the venues are asked to pony up tremendous amounts of public money (your tax dollars) to pay for the stadiums, improvements and hotels, which will never be used again. Sure, they bring money in during those two weeks, but the locality is then left with huge hulking white elephants to support forever. Go to the Olympic wastelands in Montreal or Sydney to see what I mean. Big unusable parks with big buildings with no discernable public purpose.
And Utah Girl, it is better to ask forgiveness, than permission. But in this case it is better still to do what we want and tell the IOC to get lost!

Hey, W threw out the first pitch at the World Series. We should press W to walk into the Olympics surrounded by Americans carrying the American flag from the WTC!Then see what the IOC has to say.
W can say to them, "Either with us, or you're with the terrorists, now get our of my country!"

Which raises an interesting point in my mind: Who chooses and provides the flags used during the Olympics? The IOC probably provides us US flags that have tiny little UN flags embroidered on them.

"Sometimes we bail them out, but much more often we impose our will on them, usually for monetary gain." We do? Nobody cut me in for my share of this running dog capitalistic booty. I'm gonna have to read the fine print in my copies of the NAFTA and GATT treaties.

What can we do to put the most heat on the globalists in the IOC?
This kind of idiocy must not be tolerated outside of Berkely and Greenwich Villiage.

Who cares!!!???I'll tell ya who cares.
Americans who still get a knot in their throat & a tear in their eye when a proper & beautiful rendition of our National Anthem is played or sang.
Americans who recognize the blessing bestowed upon us for living in the most free, most benevolent, most powerful country in the history of mankind.
Americans who still reflect on the sacrifices made by the men & women who from 1776 to the present chose to meet tyranny head on, and bravely fought and died for our freedom.
Americans who will not be ashamed to display their reverence and pride in the United States of America.

High immigration levels are a part of GLOBALISM. The people in DC want it. Exactly.

but much more often we impose our will on them, usually for monetary gain. Please explain that to me, I'm a bit slow today.
Short of going to war with them, how can we force any country to allow us to "impose our will" on them?
Refusing to give them money is not a valid definition of imposing our will; they can merely refuse it and do whatever they want.

Too American? Whatever. It may not be the right venue for that particular flag, but to say it's too American is just asinine.

" But how are we gonna do it," With forums like this one. Imagine a forum like FR with not 80,000 members but 800,000 members or 8,000,000 members. Thats a voting block. Then WE can decide who represents US and OUR interests. The Internet is now in its infancy. The inconsequential and superfluous will be left by the wayside and the true owners of this country, those that truly believe in the principals on which it was founded, will rise up and utilize this tool in a way that could not have been foreseen nor stopped.
It's not going to happen in a month or a year or maybe even a decade...but someday...someday through this electronic medium, we will take back what is ours and crush those that oppose us.
Well here's hoping those Americans attending the opening and closing ceremonies greet the introductions/speeches of the IOC members with NYPD/NYFD to Hillary welcome. Boo his butt off the stage.

The first step is to put this issue on every talk show in the country, newspaper, and sports section.

And I don't expect to. We "little people" are just supposed to shut up, move along, and pay "our" taxes.

Shoot give Dubya the flag himself and let come out and see if the Nazi-PC Police can go through a Secret Service Detail to get it.
