Domino's Pizza Founder Proposes 250 Foot Tall Crucifix [as big as Statue Of Liberty]

ANN ARBOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Domino's Pizza founder Tom Monaghan wants to build a 250-foot-high freestanding crucifix at his Domino's Farms office park in this Washtenaw County community.

The 25-story structure, topped by a 40-foot figure of Christ, would be about as tall as the Statue of Liberty, and 51 feet shorter than the tip of its torch.

Hmmmm Hawaiin Pizza.

When I lived in Washington State they had a place that had Taco Salad Pizza. It was really very good. And they had a Papa Murphy's (before Papa Johns - he stole the name) and Papa Murphys had the best pizza I have ever had drom a chaintype store.

Oh God, that is just wrong all over the place. There is a HUGE difference in one pizza to another. Have you ever eaten a Little Caesars pizza? Ack. It's like munching on a cardboard box only more tasteless.

I'm Jewish and I believe in private property.

It's the man's own money and property. The only public issue is whether the statue is structurally sound.
Whether I like looking at it is irrelevant.

I was never a FLAG WAVER nor one to wear my religion on my sleeve. Guess what? I now have a large flag in front of my home, on my SUVS and I wear a flag with a cross on my caps, (courtesy of the Rev. Dr, James Kennedy). Any SOB who's offended will be more offended when I punch them in the nose.

It reminds me of a line from a movie I saw, can't remember exactly, but went like this, "We're not very religous, we're Methodists".

Some Methodists are that way, others are not. I am Methodist and very religious.

There is a cross erected on top of a hill in southern Illinois, near Cobden and Alto Pass, Illinois. It is on the 2nd highest elevation in the state. You can see it for miles. It is especially beautiful at night when it is lighted and appears to float in the air, as you can't see the hill it is on. It is called "Bald Knob Cross," and I don't think anyone there, or who sees it, would ever consider complaining about it. It is one of my favorite places to see. BSW
