Worst Drink you ever had
Posted on 01/25/2002 8:56:17 PM PST by Dan from Michigan
Since everyone is going nuts on the vanities lately, I'll jump in on this one.
What is the worst drink you have ever had? I'll have to go with Killarney's Red beer. Anheisure-Busch came out with it to compete with Killians. Since I'm a fan of Killian's Red, I tried it. I gave 5 beers away from the 6-pack.
Dishonorable mention goes to Popov, Southern Comfort(flame away), and that AWFUL stuff called Bud Lite, which came straight from their Clydesdale horses if you know what I mean.

It could've been Steinhager or Jagermeister. I just can't remember. It's been 35 years. It came in one of those highly decorative and colorful German bottles, the special stuff. If I remember right, the bottle was shaped like a heavyset German fraulein in traditional garb carrying about ten mugs of beer. I think the name started with an 'S' but I'm not too sure. The Krauts laughed when they saw the look on my face after I took a sip of it. I tried to be polite but I knew right then they weren't my friends and spit it out.

Probably a runner up between MD 20/20 or Southern Comfort.
I know some people swear by the stuff, but personally to me it tastes like fermented cough syrup.

Gads, Jagermeister...I woke up in a gutter in an alley after a Mardi Gras in Nawlins after drinking a bottle (750 ml) of that poison. Honest to god, I had a friend do the exact same thing and he confessed to me:
"I didn't ever s*ck a d*&k.....But I may have held one in my mouth."
(We never talked much again after that)

MD 20-20 The bane of my high school years!

Oooh, Popov. Memories of my poor college student days flood back.
Still, I was in better financial shape than my frathouse roommate, who used to sell his plasma and use the proceeds to buy A&P brand generic beer. It was in a white can with black block lettering that said BEER. I had one once, and words cannot express how bad it was.
Do they still make Dixie Beer? That could be pretty bad, too, but it had a certain cachet amongst my crowd.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned the Green Death, Rainier Ale. But beware, it'll grow on 'ya!

I had a bad, bad experience with Southern Comfort, and now, 20 years later, the smell of it causes the old gag reflex to start jumping.
If you look in the World Record Book under the heading "Longest and Most Severe Hangover" you'll see my name. My record is not in jeopardy. Two days after the tragic Southern Comfort experience, I was still too sick to get up and take a final.

Gonna have to dis-agree with the Pearl & Hudepohl. I grew up on good Ol 14K draft and did find my self enjoying Pearl whilst living in South Texas. Ouzo....now that is a ticket to a distant planet.
