Holy cow !! The dumocrats are knee deep in Enron!
This is getting good.
Big cash for dumocraps trumps the Bush administration, "big time", Mr. Leiberman.

I sent this baby to Rush. Hope he uses it. It's a pretty good find.
These are the largest Enron donations so far.

Democrats, frantic for any issue with which to belabor a hugely popular president, seize on Enron, though it is a tar baby more likely to end up sticking to themselves. The innuendo will be that questionable financial practices are like Bush's budget policies. A few older and wiser heads are warning them on this one, but they are desperate. Have they forgotten the media arm of their party no longer has total control over public dissemination of information? They bashed Republicans with some success as scandal mongers during the Clinton years. Now they are setting themselves up as nasty and petty blame - game types, while the president remains serenely above it all, a great "bipartisan" leader.

I'm beginning to think it would be easier to list anyone who DIDN'T get money from Enron!

Like Rush said all last week, if the democrates continue to investigate this Enron mess, they're going to find more dirt on themselves than on Bush and Cheney. Bush and Cheney are honest men and a good number of the Rats are not. I say too, keep on looking into this because it only reflects back on Rats and the Clintoons. Maybe finally Bill and Hillary will get theirs!

The Texas company, known for its close political ties to Republicans

They always start a report out like this but yet EVERY report I read has the Dems and their friends up to their eyeballs in this Enron mess

Lanny Davis and some other high up "back room"* DNC folks have been trying to tell the dems to lay off the Enron issue for a while now. They have not been listening. I have also heard "back room"* GOP leaders suggesting to republicans to put up a light defense of the President and allow the dems to fire away and make demands.

Once the dems get the Enron investigation ball rolling it is not going to be easy to stop it. And that ball is gonna roll all over them. Look for the dems enthusiasm over Enron to virtually dry up and their scope and focus to turn to Arthur Anderson cooking books, corporate big wigs cashing out and making millions, and employees getting the shaft for not being able to move 401(k) funds around. The political aspect of the democrats attacks will soon stop.

* -- "Back Room" refers to those in the party leadership that do most of the work but are unknown to most because they are not part of the talking head circut.

Also registered to lobby on behalf of Enron this year was former Vice President Gore's former chief of staff, Jack Quinn.

Jack Quinn is the "Forrest Gump" of the Clinton/Gore Criminal Enterprise. He shows up more times than there were scenes in the movie.

I believe the last time we heard from him was as an attorney for Marc Rich.

Ex-TVA director, Gore friend got large sums to aid Enron

Excerpt:

Washington, DC, Friday, December 7, 2001 - Records show Enron paid large sums to enlist the lobbying aid of former Tennessee Valley Authority Director Johnny Hayes and another Tennessee friend of former Vice President Al Gore.

Enron paid $200,000 to Sideview Partners Inc., a company headed by Mr. Hayes, for lobby work involving TVA earlier this year, according to Mr. Hayes' midyear 2001 lobby activities report.

The Texas company, known for its close political ties to Republicans, also paid $500,000 to the Nashville law firm of Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, where another longtime Gore friend and fund-raiser, Charles Bone, works, according to Mr. Bone's midyear disclosure. Mr. Bone reported he lobbied both TVA and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Enron's behalf.

The $500,000 paid to Mr. Bone's law firm appeared to be the highest among all the lobby contracts Enron reported for the first half of 2001. Last year, Enron spent about $2.1 million on lobbying, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a watchdog group.

This is just too, too good. The Democrats' apparent come-uppance, that is, not the bankruptcy of a major corporation and accompanying 401K fiasco of its employees.

I hope all get their just desserts in this one from Enron to Andersen to the DNC and even GOP if involved. Clean up all the houses!

Let me guess.... the new scandal du jour from the Democrats already sullied by Condidit and Enron...

... Will be a return to the Cheney heart question, but with dreadful new complications. Pretzelgate and Coronarygate... blended into one ominous crisis... what will America do if both WPotus and the VP get together for a cholesterol- ridden tailgate party with pretzels, peanut butter and chips?

This info you retrived came from the MSNBC web site? Dated Dec 7th? I find it fascinating that none of this was mentioned over the weekend blowups over Enron and the current administration. I mean......Enron used DEM LOBBYISTS? Gish. Tim Russert was so determined to make this thing huge that I thought, for the first time, he made a genuine fool out of himself. The cabinet official he spoke with was so professional, so full of integrity and so forthcoming that Tim seemed to shrink full feet each time he tried to frame President Bush's administration in the same picture that holds clinton filth.

If you tally up all the $$ that Enron shuffled off to political sources, consultants, and hokey donations, how close does it come to their debt?
