For the purposes of enlightening me, please define "unruly" in the eyes of the airline?

Two hours to fly less than 600 NM? Maybe they were unruly because the flight was making lousy time.

Pre-9/11, incidents like this were more common than crashes.

Post-9/11, if it is reported to be two drunk college students, there will be at least a dozen people on this forum who claim it's a cover up.

The unruliness could have been due to 'tine rage - it's happened before.

Couple hundred years ago, when we had smoking sections in airplanes, it was a fun place to be. We would have a couple of drinks, meet our seat mates, talk, socialize and smoke. I remember a non-smoker who couldn't get a seat up forward, and had settled for a smoking seat say "Wow, I didn't know it was so much fun in the smoking section".

We were rowdy, and the flight attendants didn't seem to mind.

The non smokers thought they could improve on a system like that.

Can someone tell me why we don't have handcuffs on the airplanes? Just cuff the "unruly" passenger to his seat and go on to your destination. And what happened to the sky marshalls?

"There were actually two unruly passengers on board the aircraft and as a precautionary measure the plane was diverted to El Paso,

This is the Bush plan for punishment of airline rowdies: to El Paso, with no trial, no lawyers, no chance of escape.

HAH!!!

Let's see how many OTHERS will risk cutting up in American flag airlines NOW!!

Yeah, big mistake gettin rid of the smokin section...they could have made a lot more money off me on international flights. Now I really think about it before i make travel plans...And we could give the terrorist a good cigar and tell them to get a life...while we tie them down with the handcuffs strapped to each seat.

Yeah, Americans always behave impeccably on airplanes. Never drunk, never rowdy.

If there is a problem, it must be due to some Islamic conspiracy.

Maybe they were unruly because their shoes were not comfortable.

Maybe they had on that new Middle Eastern tennis shoe, the C-4 Special.
