Rev Peterson DESERVES an answer and I think it would be an excellent idea to put this question to Toyota in a very public manner, demanding an ANSWER. Now. Thru letters to the editor, through HUNDREDS of letters to the corporate headquarters of Toyota both here in America AND in Japan. We need to do this. And yeah, brat, we need to SHOUT.
There's more than you think! It's just that there are such A$$H-LES as JE$$E JACKA$$ that claim to wear the mantle of all BLACKS in this country. Laughable, his egocentricity.
That's one of the more memorable posts I've seen on FR, if only because it's not an idea I've ever seen in print or heard in person. Or even thought. The fact that it's a black guy saying it adds a mountain of credibility to your sentiment. (LOL. Actually, it just means that you CAN say it and not get attack by the PC police.)Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that you'd made similar comments elsewhere, glad you came to post it on this one.
As an Average White Guy, I think you're exactly right - it's ultimately the cowed silence of whites that allows JJ and related slime to have the power they do. There's not another "group" in this country that would bend over and take this crap from anyone else. But, there's a quantum leap for whites to get from where they are now to being able to confront the race pimps on even ground. Right now, it's just theoretical musing to assert that whites need to stand up to Jesse.
In order to push back on these guys, there would need be a minimal consensus in public opinion AND in those that stand up that it's a) OK to be white b) OK, if not essential, for whites to think of themselves as a group, and c) OK for these OK for whites to make demands as a group. Compare that to reality and let's all have a dark laugh. Pun intended. Political correctness, urbanization, a complicit education and media establishment...all these things are barriers that ensure none of these conditions will be met any time soon. We are generations away from any serious progress on this front, assuming it will ever happen. And, as you alluded to, Robert Mugabe is just Jesse with an army. That CAN happen here, and a lot of aware whites know it. Blacks, too, obviously. It'll be interesting to see if enough of the aware ones step beyond the lock-and-load mentality to confront the ideologues in the socio-political arena before it comes to Zimbabwe, USA.

He was in a role similar to the Biblical Prophets, who asked seemingly "odd" questions in order to reveal the other guy for exactly what he was. And it looks like he hit the target square on with Jackson, doesn't it.
Rarely have I seen the heart of the issue identified so clearly and concisely.
The last thing that Jackson, et al. want is for the progress and realized potential of blacks in America to see the light of day. Many liberals are "good of heart" but thick-of-skull; they are incapable of thinking through the fluff and seeing the essence of the trap that is the welfare state. That is not true of Jackson, Sharpton, and others who know all too well exactly the evil they practice - and smirk while redoubling their effort at lining their pockets.
Well, basically I am of the opinion that the democratic party (since liberals vote almost exclusively democrat) is made up of a whole lot of of ignorant people and a handful of very smart but evil ones who depend on the ignorant ones to justify their continued existence. Anything that promises to bring the typical democrat voter out of that ignorance is perceived as a threat. If they lose the issues that appeal to the gut reaction of the ignorant they have nothing.
I'm sure there are exceptions to my description, but I believe the ones I described are what makes the RATS so dangerous.
To the extent that whites have the power to give/withhold contracts and the like, you are right. However, JJ's real credibility (or lack thereof) as a "black" leader comes from blacks ourselves. If all blacks dealt with JJ the way Rev. Peterson does he wouldn't have a following and would be out there by/for himself. Will more blacks "repudiate" Jackson? Maybe, but most either don't care about him or want him available if they need him to stand up for them if they feel their civil rights are violated.
The real issue, therefore, is not JJ or any other "black leader" but the whole issue of civil rights and how blacks choose to defend them. Most blacks feel that a group strategy at times is needed (right or wrong) to defend civil rights and that's why they are willing to accept "leaders" like JJ and organizations like the NAACP despite their flaws, which are nothing new to the average black person.
