Right now, lets not point fingers, but support our commrades in arms?

Evidently my WWII service whatever it was, wasn't impressive enough to keep me from getting called down.

Thanks for your insightful post anyway!!(I mean that.)

Attention all Vets and Vets supporters. There is an issue here that I hope we can get to the bottom of.

It all started with a post by VOYAGER, post #57. I responded with post #80. Just so ya know the history.

I just rec'd this response back from you VOYAGER:

"Evidently my WWII service whatever it was, wasn't impressive enough to keep me from getting called down.

Thanks for your insightful post anyway!!(I mean that.)

TO ALL...I really want to address this to some of my friends who I KNOW care deeply for Vets and publicly if you will allow me. But especially to VOYAGER.

((((((VOYAGER))))) (Thats a cyber hug, best I can offer under these circumstances).

I just want you to know that I realize that your post #57 was based on emotion and love for our troops. That you of all people care deeply for our servicemen and women. Maybe even more because of what you saw first hand. Over 240,000 people (forgive me for being incorrect on the exact number,.. but I know it was over that amount) died during WWII. I cannot imagine what you saw first hand. I cannot THANK YOU ENOUGH for your service.

It is so important to me, that you know that.

I just want you to know, that not all people read your biography before responding. Maybe if they had, they too would have understood a little better where you were coming from. From caring deeply and ***firsthand*** for our troops!!!

I just want you to know, that I never doubted your intentions. I knew it was because you love them, that you wrote a reply. I also need to remind all that we cannot see facial expressions, or hear tone inflections when reading a post. If we could..there would be far fewer misperceptions here.

But dog gone it VOYAGER... you weren't called down!!! NO WAY!!! People like me even,..just reacted emotionally too. Your a hero.. your a "beloved" vet here.

I want you to know Vet to Vet.. that I honor you, and SALUTE you.

God Bless, and PLEASE know how much we appreciate our WWII Vets.

Sir, I don't think you were being called down at all. We were all simply anxious and very concerned that we might have lost more of our men-at-arms. I'm only 24 and have fortunatly never experienced the horrors of the battlefield, and I pray that I never do. You will always have my respect and thanks for your service in defense of our republic.

For the person who posted about WWII war dead, at this site:http://www.abmc.gov/abmc45.htm, it lists 405,399 killed in WWII. I knew it was a bit more than 235,000 or so.

To my fellow vet, Voyager, ALL YOUR TIME IN SERVICE COUNTED MY FRIEND. TO HELL WITH ANYONE HERE WHO SAYS IT DID NOT! IF YOU WORE THE UNIFORM OF OUR COUNTRY, IN WAR OR IN PEACE, BY GOD IT COUNTS! PERIOD! END OF DEBATE!

I know you are proud of your service and your duty to our beloved Republic and I for one stand by you. No one here is going to agree with everything everyone has to say. We are all different. However, we all here are Patriots and hate the socialists in D.C. and the commies world wide. Stand tall and stand proud my friend!
