Aye. Fight and you may die. Run and you'll live, at least a while. And, dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance -- just one chance -- to come back here and tell our enemies, that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom!

Bump! That's the one...nice job Atomic!

Don't know if it's a classic, but I just heard Clint Eastwood say this to Sondra Locke in "Any Which Way You Can":

"A handout is what you get from the government, a hand up is what you get from a friend"

Seems to fit this site quite well.

The Godfather had so many, but I like Hyman Roth's line...

"We're bigger than US Steel."

I don't know it exactly, but the when Michael Corleone confronts his brother Fredo in the Cuban dance hall...I forget the exact words, but it was a good one.

Arnold had some good ones, "I'll be back.", "You're one ugly muddaf****", "You remember when I said I wasn't going to keel you first? I liet."

There's lots of great ones from Gone With The Wind. Like when Scarlett says to Ashley something like, "You're afraid to marry me. You'd rather marry that Melanie, who can't say anything but 'yes' and 'no' and raise a passle of mealy-mouthed brats just like her!" haha

"Welcome to the real world, Neo" (The Matrix)

"You're just a couple of mules in horses' harness." (GWTW)

"What happens on the Mile, stays on the Mile." (The Green Mile)

"Smellin' me some cornbread, boss." (Green Mile)

"John Coffy, like the drink. Only spelled different." (Ditto)

"I couldn't hep it Boss. I tried to to take it back, but I couldn't hep it." (Ditto - that is one fine movie for memorable lines.)

"GET MAD AT THEM EGGS!!!!" (Cool Hand Luke.)

You forgot one

"Where did you get those coconuts?"

"I found them."

"FOUND THEM? In England?"

"The swallow may fly south in the winter."

"Are you suggesting a swallow carried it?"

"It could grip it by the husk."

"It's not a question of where he grips it, it's a simple question of air-speed velocity, a 5 ounce bird could not carry a 1 pound coconut."

"It could be carried by an African Swallow."

"Oh, an African swallow maybe but not a European swallow, that's what i'm talkin about."

"Oh, yeah. But then again African swallows are non-migratory."
