****Please Help : Missing Teenager in Kansas****

Teenage son of my friend is missing since 11/26/2001. He is 15 years old and is from Salina, Kansas. Before he disappeared, he told his friends that he was going to Topeka, Kansas. Because the boy is of an age where he can take care of himself, the PD has already told the parents that they have to do most of the leg work in this case. The parents are devastated and are looking into all possible sources for help. That is the reason for this post.

The flyer that is being circulated in her local area is posted below. It has a picture of the boy. I would appreciate if people living in and around that parts of the country, can print it out and post it in their neighborhood. The Mom of this boy, registered today and she goes by the FReeper name "Lyrica". You can ping her for more info here or via freeper mail.

Keep your chin up. My nephew was missing for 3 weeks. My brother-in-law was even called to the morgue to ID a possible Jon Doe. Glad to say that he turned up in New Orleans last week and is back at home safe, sound and under lock and key. Never give up.

I've got hundreds of kinfolk in Topeka, Kansas and will e-mail this link to those I know have computer access and include this photo in each of my Christmas cards that go out to those who don't; however, I know they're gonna ask a coupla more questions.

First...how does a 15-year-old get from Salina to Topeka? Bus? Friend's car? Hopefully, he wasn't naive enough to hitchhike up I-70. Please let us (or me via FReepMail) in on a few more details so I can do what I can do in assisting.

Second...does Joey have friends (especially of the female persuasion) in Topeka? If so, which High School do they attend and where do they hang out?

And Lyrica, I echo Texasforever's "keep your chin up" comment. Fifteen's an ornery age for boys and I pray--and expect--you'll have the opportunity to hug (then whup) this handsome young man in the not-too-distant future.
