...military folks felt they couldn't join in protests against their Commander-in-Chief without being charged with insubordination and risking their military careers."

Felt hell; make no mistake about it...they'd have been charged with treason & if lucky, released with a Dishonorable Discharge.
There were so many loyal, America-loving Officers & EMs who either had to resign commissions *or* ETS -- if they were ever again to be able to look at themselves in the mirror every morning.
If one were in fact near retirement age; as was your the Capt?
They were fortunate, and blessed to have had such a merciful altervative to show for all the faithful years they'd given this, our nation.

Now as for the military & their *feelings* about those years; those who persevered?
They're actually doing exactly what many of us are; & we're all hellbent on holding the sycophant QUISLINGS who supported this Clintigula monster personally responsible for their disgusting, UNtenable behavior(s)!!
If I were Charles Grodin's agent & relied on this ultra-quisling's employment to make my living?
I'd be polishing-up my resume' & looking for other people to represent & pitch.
And Grodin's only one; there'll be hundreds from print media who've hell to pay, too.

...& I've been practicing tieing slip-knots since '95 *just* for these worms.

Walker joined the Taliban six months ago at the age of 20. If my father was old enough to marry, hold down a job and pay a mortgage at 20, then this bastard is old enough to get injected for his stupid decision.

Alright, I understand you and KIDD's point...I should have been clearer.

"Subsidiarity (the idea that things should be done at the lowest societal level possible - as cosest to the action as possible) ought to be in practice and it is not. Fed programs are wasteful but "we" are collectively addicted and to them and major national willpower is needed and conservatives will have to lead the way in giving up benefits that CLEARLY are provided to us all by the feds."

Yep...that's why I believe it is in the Right's best interest to set a National Goal to cut the size of the Federal Guv'ment (as a percentage of GDP) in Half (24%+ to 12%) by a Date Certain...2012!! That's a gradual 1%/year and could be accomplished by simply forcing the various Federal agencies to compete against themselves in establishing their legitimacy and their necessity. When BureaucRATS see the writing on the wall and that they'll most-likely be outta a job in a coupla years, most attrition will be voluntary as these folks gradually work their way into Private Sector careers or into the various State Agencies that spring up to replace functions of the defunct Federal Agencies.

It'll work like a charm and America's Economy will soar at speeds we can't even fathom...but as you said, it'll take some political will--and a better-educated populace--to pull it off!!

Excellent!! You know...the Vast, RightWing Conspiracy (including Rush and FNC) seems to be alive and well these days...YEEEE-HAWWWWW!!

BTW...is Hannity back yet? Seems like every time I turn on H&C they got that RINO NY Senator D'Amato pretending to be a Conservative and I have to immediately flip the channel.

We also have asked Goldberg to appear on our show. "American Breakfast," but don't expect that will occur until the Goldberg frenzy dies down a bit. He will have a cordialy welcome from us, and from our "Red Zone" audience.

Here's where we disagree, my FRiend. Fact is, except for Federal employees and welfare recipients, almost all Americans are Net Payers into the Federal System.

Oh, except for federal employees and welfare recipients? Don't forget to exclude all the rest of the population that doesn't pay squat in terms of income taxes.

So, except for all thost people, most people pay more than what they get out. You've reduced yourself to quite a tautological fairy land, mudBOY.

What is Operation Spinista, what is CC--, and how can we get information? ABC Radio news is horrid, and a major campaign to demand balance is overdue.

"Don't forget to exclude all the rest of the population that doesn't pay squat in terms of income taxes."

I am perfectly aware of the fact that almost 50% of folks pay no Income Taxes at all, but it is you who is in "a tautological fairy land" if you believe that there is anyone who gets off without paying any taxes. Every time we raise taxes on EEEEE-VIL Corporations, them EEEEE-VIL Corporations simply raise their prices to pass the cost onto the Consumer as a Cost of Doin' Bid'ness...our job is to make this FACT known to the Sheeple who think they're getting a free ride. Fact is...there AIN'T NO FREE LUNCH except fer Federal Employees and Welfare Recipients.

BTW...with regards to us arguin' both sides of the same coin, sometimes that's the only way you can get into a good scrap around here with so many fellow RightWingWhackos mannin' their FReepin' keyboards...thanks fer providing me with the opportunity to rant!! (8^D!!

Goldberg was really great on Rush this a.m. and considering he is a lib, with a mind, came off with enough to make me really want to read his book. I ordered it and can't wait!! The media can dish it out, but they can't take it!!

Seems Whorealdo's being shunned, snubbed & otherwise denied access to troops by those in the military who clearly remember what the asshole said & did on behalf of the Sink Emporer. Seems some have not forgotten; nor, are they likley to forget anytime soon.

is that right? well, well! giggling....

# 2 on Amazon....ugh....I already regret having pre-ordered it. So my opinion is probably in the minority, and I admit to having been soooo excited when I first heard this. Bias on the left being admitted to.

Oh and then I remembered that Goldberg is a slime like the rest of them....he couldn't get anyone but Regnery to publish, and so the right of center folks will once again be paying his kids tuition. So call me cynical, I just don't believe he did this for some overriding good...this was a perfect money making machine. Hearing him two days in a row going from one conservative talking mouth to another only reaffirmed this.

What struck me is how Rush said the media goes nuts when they are scrutinized like the way they scrutinize others.

It occured to me that IF, indeed, the Free Press IS "THE FOURTH ESTATE," then they SHOULD be examined just as THEY examine executive (DUI), legislative (Chandra) and judical ("high tech lynching") candidates.

Thanks to Rush, Drudge. FR and FOX, et. al., we can now "VOTE" our own representatives of the virtual 4th branch of government.

NOW it's time to examine the "candidates" to see just how, fair, uncorrupt and representative they are of us.

The pressure is on - but the Media doesn't want the same rules applied to them. No wonder lardbottom liberal Michael Moore wants a "dominant, state-controlled media outlet!"

True, but by buying Mr. Goldberg's book you are creating a financial incentive for more media rats to open up about their stacked system. The more books written will put even more pressure on the traditional media to change or it will reduce their audience even more. Either way, we benefit (as long as we don't run naked through those fields -- ouch).
