You're repeating the same old mistake: we don't elect presidents on popular vote. If so, Dubya could have prolly had another half million votes in (for example) Texas alone, where the vote turnout was quite low.
Folks here knew he had the State locked-up, so many didn't bother going out in the rain to vote.

I seem to remember a column Goldberg wrote in the May 24 Wall Street Journal about all of this. It really sticks out in my mind (I have read millions of editorials it seems like) because it was really well written. When he was on Rush he brought up many points from his editorial (which I assume are the main points of his book).

The May 24 Goldberg column has to be on FreeRepublic someplace, but I don't have it bookmarked.
