President Bush met with Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan today over lunch with Vice President Cheney, presumably to talk about the economy. Bush also met with Swedish Prime Minister Goran Persson to discuss regional security problems. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura Bush gave the media a tour of Christmas at the White House. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I watched the "White House Holiday Decorations Preview" ... and it was wonderful!!!
On the lawn of the gingerbread White House are tiny replicas of Spot and Barney ..... and Laura said that Barney is chasing an armadillo ... something he loves to do at the ranch. Also, there was a "Beware of Barney" sign ..... sooooooo cute!
Laura also got in several good ones .... she said that it was sad that the White House couldn't be open to the public during the holiday season but they have to consider all the people who are in the White House, including the media and the staff ...... good one, Laura!
She also said that she hoped that the media would be generous in their coverage so that the public could see the decorations ...... YES!!!

Everything is so beautiful and classy. The First Lady is beautiful as well. And the oval office sure was tastefully done. Thanks Rintense.

What wonderful photos of the President and First Lady! Beautiful!
But it's the card and the verse from Psalms that has me in tears. To have once again a President who loves God and says so in so many different ways. Christianity is under attack in this country and around the world, so this card with this verse is such a vital message to everyone.
Also, thanks for the photos of the Cheney's. They are such a treasure for this nation, BOTH of them. Just as BOTH President Bush and Laura are gifts to us from God.
The tree epitomizes the best of Christmas trees. I've always thought of them as gaudy ladys flaunting themselves and giving us so much pleasure once a year! LOL! The White House Christmas tree is stately and serene, but still all-done-up and glittering!

Good morning bump. Thanks for keeping on your ping list. Even though I rarely post comments here, I come, and save all the pictures. Everyone here says all the things I feel about our President anyway, so there's nothing left for me to type! (-:

Wow, great pics. I love the Christmas card and the way First Lady Laura has had the While House decorated to celebrate Christ's Birthday. The Oval office really looks nice, I did not care for the decor of the previous administration.

I have personal notes from both. But back in the good old days! I have a "nick-name, BTW. LOL.

Yep, no tawdry or sexually explicit articles on this tree! Thank God for their integrity and wholesomeness!

Sometimes the best way to make a point is merely by showing a contrast.
Bill Clinton v. George Bush
Hillary Clinton v. Laura Bush
Their lives are an epistle written in the hearts of America. Since we can't rip out the trashy clinton chapters, I take solace in all the Bushes are doing to erase the effect of their predecessors.

Heard last night on HGTV (love that channel) that they are doing a behind the scenes of the White House Christmas show on Dec. 16th @ 9:00PM on the Home and Garden Channel

Hey! Just saw the amazing W on TV from Florida. He was awesome - so strong and humble at the same time. Anyway, his he wearing the tie??? At first I thought it was just the same old pink one he wears. Upon closer inspection, it does have a slight pattern in it. Could it be? Still looks too pink for me but maybe that is my computer. Anyone know if any Bush Babes were at the town hall mtg? Seemed like there were tons in the audience.

Wasn't he magnificent today??? As to whether there were Bush Babes in the audience, I would say there are more Bush Babes born every day, and there were a whole lot there today (and a lot of Bucks too)! I'm predicting a Bush landslide in 2004 even bigger than Reagan's in '84!

I wondered about the tie also ..... I'm really eager to see the photos tonight to get a good look at it. Wouldn't that be AWESOME!!!

Hi MJY1288, I live down here in Montgomery County and heard us referred to as "the Berkeley of the East Coast" the other day. Barf!!! I was so upset! I'm *really* tempted to move across the Potomac when my son finishes high school next year.
P.S. I saw a Mark Shriver sticker today. It was on the bumper of a car (from Maryland) that used to have a Mark Warner sticker on it. But the Fight4Choice sticker remains on that car through and through. I can't wait to get my hands on an Ehrlich (or whoever) sticker and park right next to that person. Bumper-sticker wars!!!

I donated, worked on the campaign (my first one, too) and sent him a card for the National Day of Prayer. And I got a Christmas card. You probably will, too.

Hey, am I still invited to the slumber party?! My husband has been on the computer NON-STOP working on a project for school. I have such serious FR withdrawal. Anyway, my apple cider is ready for warming, and my blanket and bootie socks are standing by!!

Hang in there, lawgirl. One never knows how God will use things to bear fruit. Any chance a permanent job will come out of this?

I once lived in Montgomery County and moved to Frederick County 10 years ago because I could not stand the local government and did not want the county piggyback tax going to them any longer, SO I MOVED, but unfortunately I own a business in Mont. Co. so I'm forced to put up with them a little.
Here in Frederick County we have a great congressman in Roscoe Bartlett and I don't mind seeing my tax dollars going to this county because they do a good job up here, if someone was to suggest having Santa banned from lighting a Christmas Tree, they would be subjest to a military tribunal :-)
