In the hours following the announcement of the results from last night's Houston mayoral runoff, I have heard constant reports of 'rat voter fraud in yesterday's election. Considering that Orlando Sanchez fell short of racist mayor Lee "Speaking Lessings" Brown by less than 5,000 votes, I have no doubt that this election was carried by fraud.
As I noted earlier, Lee Brown himself was not the winner last night - hatred was the true winner. Racial hatred, fraud, deception, and bigotry all won last night. Lee Brown was just the shell cover for them.
Needless to say, I am utterly disgusted at the ammount of fraud perpetrated by the Democrats yesterday. It is a continuing problem that plagues our elections, perhaps more than anything else. It is a problem that has gone on too long and is literally out of control. What the Republican Party needs to learn is that until we draw the line in the sand and put an end to voter fraud, we will continue to lose elections that rightfully should have been won.
I am calling on any and all freepers with information pertaining to ballot fraud in yesterday's Houston mayoral race to post it here and now. This information needs to be documented and publicized. I plan to inquire with the county about obtaining open records requests of sign in sheets from yesterday's elections to detect fraud and need to know specifically what precinct numbers to be on the lookout for. Any and all information is appreciated. Please post it here and post it publicly if at all possible, as it needs to be documented in a place for all to see. This problem must be stopped now.
Based on credible information I have already heard to date, there is not a shadow of a doubt in my mind what would have happened yesterday had Orlando Sanchez won. Lee Brown, Jew Don Boney (yes, Jew Don IS his real name! He's a local version of Al Sharpton in Houston), the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and their gang of racist thugs would have immediately filed an election challenge and recount request to try and overturn the election. They had this planned and in the works, ready to launch if needed. In fact, I honestly believe that they would have willingly incited racial riots had they become "necessary" to ensure Brown's return to office (no, Lee Brown was not "reelected"). That is how desparate these people are, and we should never forget it.
You hit the nail on the head there Texaggie. What is confusing though is at first Lanier was working to block the light rail system. Now he seems to want it - hence his support of Brown. Do you know any inside scoop.
No, Mr. Sanchez has enough sense to realize that he lost the election fair and square. He simply failed to get his voters out to vote while Brown got his people to polls.
Because of that, anybody who opposes voter fraud gets accused of racism, or some similar term, by the group who has the most to lose if voter fraud gets stopped. In a PC driven world, accusations of racism are political suicide as long as they come from the left. Regardless of their lack of merits, they achieve automatic credibility and taint whoever gets targetted by them. Meanwhile real world examples of racism always get a pass as long as they have a D next to their names. See http://members.tripod.com/~GOPcapitalist/democratrecord.html
Sure they made have just been discarding it, but I noticed that at least 1 such voter kept another piece of campaign literature (from a school board candidate) in her hand. The surface that these cards were placed one (1 from each voter) was where the instructions on the computer balloting system were kept.
One of these same women was on a cell phone in the polling center. An official told her that was not permitted and that she would have to end her phone call or surender her phone. She stayed on the line another 20 seconds despite the protests from the official.
None of the elderly or hispanic voters raised any stink in the 30 minutes I spent waiting to vote on the last day of early voting Tuesday. It just seemed odd that the black voters were so confrontational.
I don't have any facts, but my friend claims that Lanier and Brown (through companies and friends) both own property that would be greatly financially benefited if the rail were to go through.
It is clear that he has an agenda and is neither interested in discovering the truth about what went on yesterday, nor offering any content regarding it, as was specifically noted to be the sole purpose of this thread.
Instead, he came here looking for an argument and figures that by engaging in anally retentive circle dancing cloaked under the guise of innocent inquiry, he may yet draw some attention to himself.
I did not see a single chad when I voted on election day.
The computer ballot is a scary concept as there is no paper trail. Additionally, I'm a former Compaq employee (7 years) and I found the instructions to be confusing. The actual ballot device was easier to use but the instructions were needlessly complicated.
Another complaint about the electronic ballot is that Houston's manner of data entry uses a wheel to select alpha-numerics. You are given a unique(?) code to indicate your precinct and an official watched as I entered the numbers (possibly to verify that I did not enter other data). I was able to vote unobserved. If you want to enter in a write-in candidate, it will need to be done with that wheel, 1 character at a time. Chris Bell may be able to successfully run a write-in campaign this way but a name like Shelly Rodriguez would take considerably more effort.
That wheel is junk. There should either be a keyboard (for full alpha-numeric entry) or buttons to indicate vote with an option to write-in a name by hand. This could be accomplished if the computer ballot system printed out a finished ballot for the voter to enter in a box.
I've heard that when all voting goes to electionic means, we will have the results in a matter of hours. Hell, the results should be complete in a matter of minutes as all the counts are already tabulated.
Most people (myself included) instictively touched the screen expecting it to do something. They should look into that. The other platform that would have a more intuitive interface would be to model it on an ATM (we don't need to see all of the candidates in all of the races at the same time). We would just need to be able to see all of the candidates in a single race on the screen at once.
I'm asking you what reason you have for thinking there was voter fraud.
And as I have extensively noted, I believe there was voter fraud based on multiple reasons.
1. I know specifically that voter fraud existed in the first round on november 6 in the form of non-city voters being permitted to cast ballots in the city election by corrupt election officials. This I have determined from extensive conversations with county employees who worked early voting and encountered the problem of these people trying to vote again in the runoffs. As was noted, many of them gave reason to believe that, though they were denied a vote in early voting, they would return to vote on election day where they would be permitted to do so by the same corrupt poll workers.
2. I know of specific incidents of election law violations from poll watchers. Many reports include illegal electioneering by Brown workers inside polling places, illegal assistance/coercion of voters inside polling places, and the permitting of unregistered persons to vote.
3. I know of a long recorded history of significant voter fraud problems in the city of Houston dating back decades. This fraud has cost Republicans multiple elections in the past decade alone and has led to the overturning of at least one election here in the last decade.
4. I know that several indicators of what was later proven to be voter fraud in previous elections have again surfaced in this election. Included are abnormally high turnout in isolated areas such as Boney's district, abnormally late delivery of ballots from precincts located within a 10 minute drive of the dropoff point, and a margin of victory small enough as to where voter fraud, if committed, could reasonably be said to have influenced and/or turned the results of the election.
That is why I believe there to be vote fraud this time around as well.
