HEAR YE, HEAR YE, HEAR YE To: Lord Council Members of the Town of Kensington, in the County of Montgomery, unFree State of Maryland By your continued banishment of humble acts of religious homage to our Creator and your recent ban of Santa from your traditional "Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony", we have no other choice but to rise up in opposition to your continuing tyranny over the minds of our children and the American Way. We hereby find you guilty of the high crimes of Treason Against the Christmas Spirit and Secular Tyranny against the Constitution of the United States. FReepers disguised as Santa Claus, elves, other helpers (Christians, etc.), to raid the anti-Christmas Kensington Town Council's "Celebration of the American Spirit Through Lights and Music" (which has banned Santa from lighting the traditional Town Tree). The dreaded Tyranny Response Team Special Operations Units will be on hand to protect FReeper patriots from the arrogant-meanspirited-condescending-liberals and secular heretics who may try to subvert this battle that we fight for the children of Kensington!

Battle Plan:
Patriots will peaceably assemble near the Kensington Armory beginning around 3:30 p.m. and then occasionally disperse along all access and egress streets to the ceremony's location. Remember, no profanity, no racism, no threats, no violence, etc., will be tolerated at the scene. A demonstration/protest permit is NOT required for this; regardless, local law enforcement officers should be treated with respect. We hope that the local Praetorian Guard will lay down their arms and join our side in this revolt against government imposed "political correctness." We must remain "on message", defend the 1st Amendment, freedom of religion, freedom from this local government's tyranny, while we counterattack the Town Council's secular assault on Christmas. Remember that we are doing this FOR THE CHILDREN! - :-)

Yes, the Kensington Fire Department is the good guys of Kensington, I have been business owner in Kensington for the past 14 years, and worked in Kensington for a total of 21 years and the present Mayor is an idiot and the Fire Department is the best thing in the town, they organize all kinds of really nice events for kids and they are very patriotic. It's too bad the town leaders are such morons

I saw that on Fox News tonight. Jim Angle - sitting in for Brit Hume - said that the fire department said that if Santa showed up at the fire station, they would deliver him to the tree lighting, just as they always have.
Please, someone dressed as Santa show up at the fire station.
BUTTTT, will Santa be allowed to light the main "holiday tree" (in front of the children) as he has done for over thirty years now? Will the Levine School of Music be performing CHRISTMAS carols (not "happy holiday" songs)??
I have no problem with the firemen and policemen lighting the tree. As for the music, if there aren't enough people there who know Christmas carols and can drown out any PC singers, I'd be surprised.
