Movie "Star" Julia Roberts is a Shallow, Ignorant, Arrogant (Vanity)
Right Now! | StoneColdGOP

Did anyone see this left-wing piece of crap on "The Late Show" tonight? I just finished seeing it and I am fuming mad.

Letterman tried to enlighten the dumb broad that the ORIGINAL "Ocean's 11" had a (real) all star cast and Roberts flippantly remarked she'd only seen a few bits of it, saying more or less she was not impressed.

Dave then tries to tell her that the Rat Pack did this movie in their heyday while ruling Las Vegas and tried to communicate to her what made the whole movie great, and she sits there STILL completely unimpressed.

I've never liked this dumb piece of trash, but she's now proven beyond a doubt she lacks all respect for her industry's history, and has no class or humility.

Go to hell, Julia. And take your "megastar" pals Pitt, Damon and Clooney with you.

Besides, if you missed the group song fest in My Boyfriend's Wedding, you missed one of the funniest moments on film, thanks to the other actors, not Julia.

Why not a re-make of Terror of Tiny Town?

ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN!

ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN!

It would make her lips look too big and scare kids under the age of thirty.

Get real.

I'm against the remake of "Ocean's Eleven", simply because I'm sick of Hollywood remaking good movies (or musicians remaking good songs, for that matter.) Why doesn't anybody remake a bad movie or song and make it better? First bad movie which should be remade -- "Bonfire of the Vanities"!

Plan 9 is classically bad which is why it is a classic. Like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.

Although one of the best deliberately bad spoof movies is Duel in the Sun with Gregory Peck.

She does chick flicks. I'm a chick. I like fluff. And I believe in free speech and the right to be as dumb as dirt, until they get personal. Now it's personal and I won't be going to any more of her movies.

A California girl!

Fluff is OK as long as you don't have to stick your hand in the basket full of venomous snakes...

I also believe in free speech as long as it doesn't cut off the oxygen supply at the same time...

ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN!

My friend's father was the director of this...maybe he can come out of retirement and do the sequel?

Red Country, California.

Smile when you say that, mister.

Bad it was. Spoof it wasn't.

Roll over, David O. Selznik! They know not what they do!

Oh, you have to watch Peck do that role again. He was having a ball with it.

You sound pretty bossy when you say that! Where is "Red Country"? Is it close to Downtown Los Angeles? :-]

Let me get on my soapbox and elaborate on my "bad movies should be remade" comments -- IMHO, "Showgirls" and "Plan 9 from Outer Space" are in the so-bad-they're-good category, like "Valley of the Dolls" and "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane". You could remake them into good movies, but that would take the charm out of them, kind of like the campy "Lost in Space" being remade as a straight sci-fi drama.

Movies like "Bonfire of the Vanities" are just plain bad, but they could have been great, since the source material was so good. "Striptease" was a hilarious book, but a bad movie -- why not remake that one? "Godfather Part III" should be redone in keeping more in line with the first two movies -- get back Robert Duvall, lose Sofia Coppola, stop allowing Al Pacino to yell, etc.

"Smile when you say that, Mister."

The Virginian, by Owen Wister. Made into movie starring Gary Cooper. High Noon was also derived from that book, one of the best American novels ever written, and Cooper starred in that as well, but without the book's most famous line.
