Plan 9 is classically bad which is why it is a classic. Like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.

Although one of the best deliberately bad spoof movies is Duel in the Sun with Gregory Peck.

Can't be remade. Its so bad that it achieved a kind of greatness of awfulness. It should be seen by filmsters for the abundance of unintentional laughs. Incidentally watch "Ed Wood" featuring Johnny Depp if you get the chance.

I read somewhere (don't remember where exactly) a few months ago that some Hollywood type is planning a sequel to "Plan 9 From Outer Space". Somebody's really hard up for ideas.
