Movie "Star" Julia Roberts is a Shallow, Ignorant, Arrogant (Vanity)
Right Now!

Did anyone see this left-wing piece of crap on "The Late Show" tonight? I just finished seeing it and I am fuming mad.
Letterman tried to enlighten the dumb broad that the ORIGINAL "Ocean's 11" had a (real) all star cast and Roberts flippantly remarked she'd only seen a few bits of it, saying more or less she was not impressed.
Dave then tries to tell her that the Rat Pack did this movie in their heyday while ruling Las Vegas and tried to communicate to her what made the whole movie great, and she sits there STILL completely unimpressed.
I've never liked this dumb piece of trash, but she's now proven beyond a doubt she lacks all respect for her industry's history, and has no class or humility.
Go to hell, Julia. And take your "megastar" pals Pitt, Damon and Clooney with you.

she has always been a flake.

I saw it too. Not that Julia has ever impressed me...
The original Oceans 11 is a classic--and I'm proud to say I've got it on video in my personal collection.
These Hollywood idiots, who make money reading other people's words make me sick.

She's famous because she looks good on screen. Period.
Your reaction shows you pay too much attention to "star" quotes.

I think her character comes out in her treatment of the men in her life, the most recent example being Benjamin Bratt. It's better that he didn't marry her, because she'd just leave at some point soon after the wedding.
To think, I'm trying to break into that industry. LOL At least I have role models like Malkovich, Bruce Willis, Charlie Heston and James Woods, huh?

Let us know if you get a gig, OK? Unless, of course, it'd blow your cover. :)

Just why is she a "star" anyway?
She ain't purdy, she can't act, she's dumber than a box of dirt...
Never mind, I answered my own question.

Julia Roberts...dumb...piece of trash...ignorant...arrogant...
These strike one as incongruous?
What's the fuss? We all know "Roberts" falls in the dictionary between "dip-sh*t" and "two-faced"...
To: StoneColdGOP
...Stone, you are telling me you just discover THAT! Say this ain't true...common paisano, You can do better than this.

She's famous because she looks good on screen. Period. "Hello, this is Judias Roberts. Welcome to my teeth...
Now, let me talk about politics...Marxism, that is..."
Give her a break -- she's got an IQ of Afghanistan's gross domestic product...single digits at best.
To: BikerTrash
She's got a mouth like a big-mouth bass. I never did see what the fuss was over re her so called good looks.

LOL
Ya know, I've thought about that. I think once you establish yourself, you can get away with being conservative/libert(like a Woods or Heston still getting roles) but I'll keep my mouth shut until then.
I'd love to be someone that FReepers down the road would say is "one of ours." We'll see...long road ahead still.

She's probably a bastard off-spring from Barbara Streisand. Money comes to swiftly to these people. Maybe we all should do coke and tell the rest of America to just go, "FU America."

Don't forget about her ability to startle. Since Richard Gere snapped closed the necklace case in Pretty Woman, Julia has done the same yelp/jump in every movie she's made.
Oprha and Rosie are far more dangerous.

I saw part of that interview. He seemed overly interested in things I would not want to discuss as an unkown person - but then I guess thats the biz.
I admit I know nothing of her politics or philisophies or relationships. But we're both created in the same image.

I used to like her movies until she told me I was a repugnant reptile.
I like going to see "fluff" every now and then. I can't do a steady diet of Die Hard, Gettysburg, Lawrence of Arabia, etc. without something to cleanse the palate. You know ... sherbet.

But we're both created in the same image. G-d forbid...

...without something to cleanse the palate. You must be diabetic (G-d forbid) to have something like THAT to cleanse the palate...
To: wayne_shrugged
She does chick flicks. I'm a chick. I like fluff.
And I believe in free speech and the right to be as dumb as dirt, until they get personal. Now it's personal and I won't be going to any more of her movies.
To: All
1: The original
Ocean's was about as idiotic as movies come. Cringe-inducing.
2: Julia is, well, larger than life, see? She was displayed to best advantage as Tink. If she had a savvy handler, all her roles would be smaller than life.
A woman's got to know her limitations.
Why not a re-make of Terror of Tiny Town? It was a better movie than Ocean's Eleven.
