Movie "Star" Julia Roberts is a Shallow, Ignorant, Arrogant (Vanity)
Right Now!

Did anyone see this left-wing piece of crap on "The Late Show" tonight? I just finished seeing it and I am fuming mad.
Letterman tried to enlighten the dumb broad that the ORIGINAL "Ocean's 11" had a (real) all star cast and Roberts flippantly remarked she'd only seen a few bits of it, saying more or less she was not impressed.
Dave then tries to tell her that the Rat Pack did this movie in their heyday while ruling Las Vegas and tried to communicate to her what made the whole movie great, and she sits there STILL completely unimpressed.
I've never liked this dumb piece of trash, but she's now proven beyond a doubt she lacks all respect for her industry's history, and has no class or humility.
Go to hell, Julia. And take your "megastar" pals Pitt, Damon and Clooney with you.

Letterman interupts her and says,"By 'chores' you mean 'ordering around the help.'" That may be one of the greatest lines in the history of language. It is such a zinger because it is true. Old Dave still has it.

Obviously you nust be from Monte Carlo or Park Plaza ,New York.On second thought I doubt it.People from places like that probably have enough class not to care where someone is from or what kind of car they have or how many gold necklaces they have on.Here is another unique concept for you most people don't even care if a person was a cheerleader or quarterback in highschool. It's who you are now and not what you came from or where you came from. No I am not from Smyrna or even Georgia. Did you make any other profound posts?

. . the original Ocean's Eleven gave rise to a hilarious SCTV parody . . To quote funnyman Bobby Bittman:
HOW ARE YAH?
The OE parody I didn't see, but by-the-by, I think SCTV and The Simpsons are the two best (best, not merely funniest) shows in the history of television.
Bobby B. in On the Waterfront!! With first-rate support from deeply-troubled, multi-talented Lola H.
I cried right along with Sammy Maudlin, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Interesting time capsule indeed.
Watching the exterior shots it'd hard to believe you'd be looking at the same Las Vegas.

LOL I still go around quoting Bobby B.
You're dead on. SCTV and Simpsons are two of the top programs ever to appear on TV.

Did Julia Roberts once play a part where she was a smart, classy person? Perhaps you confused that part with the player. Remember, the phrase "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves" didn't just come out of nowhere. Our society pleases too much value on entertainers.

Sorry my post put you into an obvious dither.
In answer to your question, I confess that I probably have not made such as profound a post as yours...

She may 'look good' on screen but she lacks artistic ability of any kind other than opening her horse mouth, throwing her head back, and laughing like a donkey.
Think I'll retire for the night now. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

"Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves" Didn't Cher come out w/this about the same time Judias Roberts was hatched? :-]

To paraphrase Dean-o's song in the original:
Julia must have been kicked in the head.
By the way, what part does she play in the movie? The only chick I remember from the original is the drunk in the parking lot....can't remember the actress....you know, she's lived many lives....brain fart! brain fart! Help!!!
