Save this URL as a bookmark (in your Internet Explorer) named "Free Republic," and you should be able to start up the "pager" window every time you log on to FR.

JohnRob created this (I think) in order to save system resources, with this "pager" you don't need to use the full "self-search" feature anymore.

Great new feature. I put the shortcut on my Links Toolbar in Internet Explorer. Here's how:

1. Make sure your Links Toolbar is displayed. Click on VIEW-TOOLBARS and make sure there is a checkmark next to LINKS. If there isn't, just click on word LINKS and the toolbar will be displayed at or near the top of the screen.
2. With the new notification URL showing in the Address Toolbar, drag the little blue explorer logo at the left of the URL onto the LINKS toolbar.
