Just now on ABC newscast Peter (alias - Dick) Jennings had the temerity to actually go to Big D - Dallas, Texas and get a 'man-on-the-street' opinion of what Dallasites think of the world in general.
Dubya got the expected high marks all around and then Jennings asked one man what Dallas residents think of things and the man replies:
"Well, nobody like YOU!"
Right in Jennings weasily little face!!
Jennings spun it to mean that folks were mad at media in general, but I guarantee you this guy meant Peter Jennings personally!
Man, what a treat.
I guess ABC wont be planning any more visits to Dalllas anytime soon. BEEEEEAAUUUUTIFFFULLLLL!!

If Texans keep this up, it'll put some credence back into that "Don't Mess With Texas" bumper sticker.
To: keithtoo
LOL...I just saw it...he told Jennings flat out that no one liked him...then Jennings said he meant he media...I saw it, the guy meant HIM.

When a state is larger and more productive than most countries in the world, it tends to produce a diverse lot. Besides, somebody has to live in Austin!

Can a below average Canadian actually reach the intelligence of the average American?
Note to Canadians here: I said below average...

It always 'mazes me how well-mannered Texans are nowaday. You mean you have not heard of the Texas version of survivor? You win if you can complete a drive from Abilene, TX to Midland, TX, to Bryan/College Station, and then to Ft. Worth in a Yugo with a bumper sticker that says "I'm gay, voted for Gore, and I'm here to take your guns."

Besides, somebody has to live in Austin!I live in California, and have been down to Houston on business several times. I could really like Texas if is wasn't for the weather. It's to hot and sticky for me.

"and I'll bet that he just drools, imagining having an interview with that LOSER CREEP MILLIONAIRE bin Laden."
I'll bet that new Fox "star" geraldo (STILL defending klintoon on Fox) wants to beat jennigs to that interview.
No wonder Rupert Murdoch is willing to pay geraldo to go to Afganistan!
National TV media frenzy for ratings, do anything, defend the criminals, etc.

The dialogue in the story doesn't make any sense. Totally incoherent...

Thanks. Just want to say, Virginia's my second favorite state. Got tons of ancestors that settled in the area of Richmond to Hampton area (Williamsburg is next on my list of travel destinations.)
To: The Real Deal
That is another nice thing about the state. If Houston is too hot and sticky for you, mind you I wouldn't live there, there is still a wonderful variety of destinations. Most with a much more favorable climate and far fewer maskeeters.

My mama always told me to avoid hurting other people's feelings, but if they ask your opinion, give it to 'em.......

Sometimes you feel like you live for this sort of thing to happen. Wish I could have seen it myself. I'm really surprised - pleasantly, of course - they chose to show that particular clip.

I honestly couldn't believe what I was seeeing. It was too beautiful for words. I can't believe ABC aired it!
To: keithtoo
Thanks for the post. It's priceless, I wish I'd seen it. I'll bet 2/3's of the people in Dallas are trying to send that man a Thank You note.

Why do you have a best friend who is obviously brainwashed?
To: keithtoo

Honeychile, the heat and humidity ain't nothin at all. It's the bugs that'll keep the real Yankees out. I took the garbage out one fine spring day in San Antone and a bug like to almost stepped on me. That was back in the Carter years, or was it Reagan? Seems like the bugs are even bigger still in Texas than they usta be.

I think Bill, Peter, and Hillary were connected at the hips until GW took over. After the election, they were separated, and Peter still has that "Ghost" feeling... if ya' know what I mean...
