ISLAMABAD, 16 nov (AFP) - The mollah Omar ordered the talibans to evacuate Kandahar (southeast of Afghanistan) and to withdraw in the Afghan mountains, indicated on Friday the Afghan Islamic Presse ( AIP ) agency.

According to this agency based in Pakistan, the big town of the Afghan South, the fief of talibans and usual place of residence of the mollah Omar, will be evacuated by the fundamentalist militia " within 24 hours ".

The decision was taken after discussions which lasted several days with talibans commanders(majors) and of close co-workers of the mollah Mohammad Omar, according to AIP.

On one hand I am happy that things appear to be going so well that the Taliban has to evacuate all the cities. On the other hand, I can't help having a nagging feeling that the Taliban might be up to something.

So where the heck do they think they're going to go?

This is going to be like shooting fish in a barrel before too long.

"Highway of Death III" now playing at your local TV station.

Time for Warthogs from Tajikistan via Bagram, all with nose cones painted with boar's heads and tusks.

Mullah Omar: "Run, but do not run like chicken, run like turkey!" LOL!

If Omar is announcing "evacuation," his troops have probably been pushed out already by Pushtun militias.

Well, at least they didn't use the media's favorite oxymoron - "Taliban stronghold".

I figured out what they're up to.

One of them bought a post hole digger and they're all heading into one of the caves to start digging a tunnel to the U.S.

They're gonna try and invade us but it may take them a few decades.

I agree, this is a tatical mistake by the Taliban. Our ability to pinpoint targets and knockout caves from near space makes this War much different than their war with the Russians.

The Taliban is exfiltrating from Afghanistan, into Mexico, where the will strike from the south, separating a new country out of the US Southwest, to be called Aztlan, in co-operation with their brothers in revolucion, La Raza. The primary industry will be to bring Afghan heroin and Bolivian cocaine into the United States, which shall then become a nation of totally addicted victims, and so severely impair the will of the Americans they will collapse with little further effort on the part of the militant radical Muslim fundamentalists.

Yeah, sure, sounds like a plan.

This is what has been expected from the Taliban. It is similar to the strategy that the Afghanistan government used against the Russians in the 1980's.

With the Wnited States having complete air superiority, the Taliban found holding populated lands with an army is next to impossible. Attacking the Taliban in the caves is hard too. So this is where the seige I have been posting about for weeks comes into play. We will suround them with surogate forces and starve them out. The will need to get out and back in with supplies and food. They did so at night using donkeys during the Russian war. We own the night, so that will not likely work.

What remains to be seen is can we effectively seal off resupply. We will need to concentrate the civilian population and limit travel to the mountainous country. If we do so, the Taliban will surrender or starve. This war is not over. But is is going exactly as planned. The key is can the Taliban find a way to be re-supplied. The Taliban thinks that if they can last, we will do a Nam and go home. They will have to kill lots of Americans to do that. They did kill lots of Russians with our help. We are not going to put many Americans on the ground in Afghanistan for them to kill.

Can we successflly run a seige with air power and surrogates on the ground is the prime question left to be answered. Our military says the answer is yes. This winter will tell. I would say the answer is yes. We have good people in charge. You can not compare a Clinton military to a bush military, any more than you could compare an LBJ military to a Reagan Military.

The USA fights a lot smarter when smart people are in charge.
