Most damage caused by flooding. Tornado sightings are not unusual in Central Texas...no reports of touchdowns.

So far all we know of is a couple of overturned 18 wheelers...trees down...some minor damages to businesses. No reports of injuries at this time. My office is located about 9 miles north of downtown...and it's nasty here. They've moved us to the lowest floors. Supposedly the tornadic activity has cleared up, but we remain under a warning. Lots of flooding in the area. More later.

A Tornado, look for Clinton, when disaster strikes it's party time for the Clintons. Photo Ops and drunken fund raisers for the Dems. More than 6,000 dead in New York and the Clintons are having themselves a blast, one fund raiser after another. I wonder who are the people attending these parties, surely New Yorkers wouldn't attended a party at this time and with the very people that made the attacks possible. THE HYJACKERS FLEW THE PLANES BUT THE CLINTON LAID SET THE COURSE.

I was just about to answer when my power went and I've just got it back. We had a storm cell come through that had a tornado that did some minor damage south of the city and tracked right up I35. There is another one on the way right now, following the same path, with rotation, no funnels sighted as of yet. Incredible downpour at the rate of 5" per hour for on half hour period. I was lucky to get on son from school and told my other son not to bother trying to drive home. Low water crossing closed, 6 cars floating on 16th and South Lamar. Rain coming for hours yet. Get out the ark!

I live downtown Austin and it's raining cats and dogs. The problem here in Austin is that we have a poor drainage system so we flood quickly.

I'm NW Austin near 183/620, all OK. I hear 2 people were pulled out of low water crossings this afternoon, 2 different locations, both died.

If there's humor at a time like this - I hear Dell employees were literally under their desks several times today for extended periods of time. Something about a bunch of pocket-protectored EEs hunkering down in their cubicles makes me smile... after all, Office Space was partly filmed here in Austin!

Stay alert, mi amigos, and Hook-em Horns!
