When President Bush ended his magnificent speech with Todd Beamer's words "LET'S ROLL" I burst into tears much to the shock of our triplet girls, age 2, on the nineteenth of this month. They're fine now, in fact, they're running around shouting "Let's roll." My question, did anyone else cry? Did President Bush's speech move you to tears too?

Whenever I see our President, our Vice President, our flag, our military, our police, our firefighters--I well up with tears. Get a grip or seek some counseling. I get a lump in my throat when I see the flag under some circumstances.....when accompanied by images of Sept 11 for example. But to have an emotional breakdown upon the sight of a flag, a policeman, Dick Cheney, Dubya or a fireman seems very unhealthy. I see flags everywhere and the Pres is on TV almost daily. At this point, it is important for us to go about our daily lives, spending money and having fun. We MUST return to our freewheeling American ways or the Terrorist have won.

Regarding the picture of Todd Beamer. I knew the guy was a hero, but is that also a University of Oklahoma hat he is wearing?
Gawd, that guy was even more awesome than I already thought he was!!

Compare and contrast Bill Clinton's speech at Georgetown Wednesday with President George Bush's speech last night. "It's our own fault" vs. "let's roll!." Could the difference be any more stark?

I have to take my 10 y/o greyhound in for an ultrasound today. I don't know what we'll find. I'm praying for him and for the guidance to make the right decision for him. I got him from the track when he flunked out of racing at the age of two. He's a big lovable baby that plays with my two little terriers like a gentle giant.

We haven't heard a word about Buddy since he knocked Bubba on his a$$ in the driveway in Chappaqua many months ago. I am concerned.

No, I didn't cry when the President said "Let's Roll," but I did when you posted those pictures. I cry every time someone sends me one of those tributes with pictures of all of the victims. God bless them all.

And let's NEVER forget that Todd Beamer's OTHER last words were The Lord's Prayer!! The Lord's Prayer AND Let's Roll are POWER PLUS!!

he must remember this is not a crusade! Well, it is a crusade the way he sees, good versus evil, right versus wrong, freedom versus terrorists. But I understand your point, he should not use the word "crusade" because it gives the enemy leverage to stoke the fires of the zealots and to frame the issue as a religious war. As far as I know, he only used the word crusade once....and I think that was a slip.. which he has been very careful about ever since. Considering all the facets of this operation, foreign and domestic, military and diplomatic...I think he is doing an outstanding job.
