I read the book. Where did part 9 end? (The TV series may not follow the book so I don't want to tell you how the book ended)

Fabulous!!! Awesome!!! Awe Inspiring!!!

Incredible series. My wife will be glad it is over however. I let everyone know they are not supposed to call our house between 8-930 PM Central.

Spielberg has created another masterpiece. VERY patriotic.

For a while there, I couldn't believe that Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks could be associated with something so perfect (Spielberg's List is an abomination). However, the last several episodes have taken an ugly turn - Easy Company men & officers getting drunk, looting civilian dwellings, being insubordinate - and a dark undertone is emerging. An awful lot of things that have happened look suspiciously like war crimes.

I hope there is a final scene with the surviving men of Easy Company paired up with the actors who played them.

I have watched it faithfully. Series like Band of Brothers will hopefully teach the younger generation how much our men and women in the military have sacrificed for this great country. May God bless them and keep them close.

I've watched it and think it's excellent. My father was in the Ardennes, so I enjoyed that part. He has often spoke of how cold it was. The show seemed to capture that well.

Fabulous show, and very well done. I've been watching it religiously (or as religiously as I do anything).

my husband and I think highly of Band of Brothers and we are sorry that there were only ten installments...we have watched most of the shows...twice.

Loved every minute of it. I'm sad that tonight's episode is the last - television at its very best.

Superb! I cannot recall an American production that so unblickingly shows the randomness of combat, nor the comradship that make men stay toge against any instinct of self-protection. I did find Episode 9 a bit didactic, and I kept asking myself: Where did they get all these skinny actors?

I specifically subscribed to HBO for Band of Brothers (of course I'll be unsubscribing after the series is done). I thought the series was awesome, although the action did slow down after the 3rd or 4th episode. Pretty good so far. I'm looking forward to the Veterans's Day special of interviews with the surviving members of Company E.

I've watched and have recorded (on the TiVo) every episode. I also read the book by Ambrose and believe the series to be a accurate depiction of the events described in the book.

As I tearfully watched the conclusion this evening,my final comment was "F**k the media!" I am so mad at the "newsholes" for doubting the effectiveness of our guys! When I watched the old timers, and saw the depth of their feeling ..to this day.!....I was livid!Every public voice should praise and support our troops. Most of us have never seen combat. We cannot possibly know the horrors and demands.....but we can give our ABSOLUTE support.Anything less is treason!

30 minutes and counting :) We uusally watch the east coast feed but watched the World Series tonight. My wife and I have been glued to HBO every Sunday night. This mini-series has been fabulous!
Can't wait for the DVD!
This mini-series should and hopefully will win mega awards, we have a good friend who works at Dreamworks and worked on Band of Brothers so we are pulling for the awards:)
Regardless of how we feel about Spielberg and Hanks and their politics they have done an outstanding job with this series.
God Bless our war vets!

My husband and I watched it religiously. We thought it was outstanding and I had to blink the tears out of my eyes at the end. I was way more impressed than I had been with Saving Private Ryan (prob. because that was fictional and kind-of contrived.)

I would say Episode 9 was my least favorite- the labor camp part was good- but the rest seemed kind-of like a dumping ground for little incidental stories.

We taped all of the episodes for my father as the parents won't subscribe to premium channels. He was in the 101st in Vietnam and then again at Ft. Campbell. He has also enjoyed them.

I watched every episode twice. My dad fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and he said the miniseries was very realistic.

I found the entire thing captivating and moving. The music. . . man, the music. Just so moving.

The series was very good, the 2nd, 3rd & 4th episodes were intense. It brought tears to my eyes to see the real men speaking of their experiences & who the actual hero's were. I believe last night the Major said that his grandson asked him if he was a hero and he said No, but I served with a group of hero's. God bless the men & women who put it on the line for us to be the country we are today. However I'm sure they would turn over in their graves to find out that we have as many traitors in our midsts as we do. By the way their suppose to have some type of Special on Veterans day pertaining to the Band of Brothers Minis Series.

I enjoyed the series very much.
-- I was in the 503/502 AIR, 11th Airborne, stationed in Munich in 56/57. We still had a few WWII troopers in the regiment, one of whom was my Co 1st Sgt for awhile.

- He was with the 502 from DDay to Dachau, with much the same experience as the 506. - He had some great stories when properly lubed up.

The series was pretty good, though the characters weren't developed very well, and many of them blended into each other.

The last episode was the absolute worst, wherein the Americans turn into a bunch of thieving murderous drunks, and they all come to realize that the Nazi soldiers were just like us.

The fight scenes were excellent and many of the actors (particularly the guys who played Winters and Nixon) were excellent. But some of the casting was downright bizarre. I mean, if you were going to make a movie about warriors would you choose a member of New Kids on the Block, the guy who does "Weekend Update" on Saturday Night Live, and David Schwimmer?!?!

Overall, I give it a "B". Nowhere near as good as "The Sopranos" but miles better than "West Wing".

I own a 38" HDTV with a DD 5.1 sound system. "Band of Brothers" has been a real treat to watch on HBO in HD.

I can't imagine a more true-to-life production effort. The sound effects (bullets whizzing by in all directions, artillery fire, etc.) are as impressive as the visuals.

And this isn't another action-adventure flick. It really happened, to real people. This is the real 'reality TV'

After 9/11, some people I know stopped watching. Suddenly "Band of Brothers" was a little too much reality for them to handle. As I watched, I kept thinking of our pilots and troops in Afghanistan, hoping for a quick, decisive victory and a safe return for them all, and hoping that history will look upon this new 'band' with the same level of respect and gratitude.

I'm hoping that HBO airs the episodes again, soon. I'd like to see them all back-to-back.
