Just reported on the 10 PM WBZ radio news broadcast:
FBI is seeking a rental type Ryder Van that was stopped trying to enter the parking garage at the Cambridge Mass Galleria mall at about 7 PM. When the back doors of the van were opened by security personnel, there were 6, 55 gallon drums duct taped to the vans walls along with gas type cans also taped to the walls.
The van then sped off. The FBI is asking for anyone seeing the van with possible license plate of 4789H7 to contact Police or the FBI.

Their choice of Cambridge is interesting though. Must be right wing extreme Wiccan skinheads. They aren't going to go after Cambridge or Harvard or MIT because they might be right wing extreme wiccan skinheads. It doesn't matter that the liberal/communist demonrats have been their friends, helped them, made excuses for them, and were loud speakers on their behalf.
I believe they have nothing but disgust for the left wing/communist demonrats, carefully hidden while they used them as puppets.
In my opinion, the Islamic militant/fantatics are going to go first for the areas of the country and for the people they think are most immoral, Godless, super sinners. For a short term, think communist/left wing demonrats..or the blue area of the election map.
They don't like our Christianity either, but I think they have a bit more respect, albeit they think we are wrong, for those who believe in G*d and who try to lead moral, relgious lives.

I think you are right. I've been wondering if they would do one biggie, or a whole bunch of smaller ones.

You are so right! These people despise America, hate Americans, and wish to destroy Western Civilization. Their idea of paradise on earth is the primeval conditions of Afghanistan. Since I'm an infidel, I do not understand their taste, and do not wish to wear a burqa and live in a yurt.
There are so many people who have NO conception whatsoever of history, are so illogical that they do not realize that as of 9/11, EVERYTHING changed, irrevokably. Our nation will be at war for YEARS.

I assume Ryder trucks still have governors? No, they now have a Board of Directors.

Well, I'm guessing that they may not be suicide bombers, since its been almost 5 hours, you'd think they woulda just picked out another target and blown what they could. I too, have the scanner on, last I heard was the I495 to HWY 3 south, with the license plate flapping.

Camps would be too expensive. Deport. I just don't think it's too much to ask an immigrant to be a citizen before they obtain jobs & benefits. If they're not willing to do that, then they are tourists. (2 week stay max.) after they pass a background check.

Agreed. But I bet they'll be like the incident here ... most people won't know about them. "To keep down the panic", you see. < /sarcasm >

No but a suicide bomber in Israel knocked off about 20 at a Sbarros last year including a 1 1/2 y.o. baby.
I thought they may have a bad sense of tradition and park the think next to the Sbarros and run for the hills.
Which reminds me if they weren't going to sit in the truck smoking their camels (pun intended) while the fuse burned, where was the getaway vehicle parked.
And since they have a proclivity for multiple targets per action, at least on 9-11, maybe there was a run on Ryder trucks in the area lately.

Maybe, they're trying to get away.

If they were planning to hit the Galleria Mall it would of been a good one, that mall is surrounded by homes, train station, and courthouses, you can literally walk out of the mall and go into someone's front foor to their home in a hop skip and a jump.

Maybe, they're trying to get away. The car wreck, or the rider van? Ok, I'm just trying to catch up.

Van checked at mall for bombs, owner detained -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By JIM SABIN jsabin(at)limanews.com 419-993-2091 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LIMA - Federal and local authorities checked a van in the Lima Mall parking lot for explosives Wednesday night and detained the vehicle's owner, a man who works in the mall. The van's owner was allegedly linked to 10 people who were detained in Findlay with "visa irregularities" Wednesday morning, Allen County Sheriff Beck said. Some of those people worked in Lima, FBI Special Agent Thomas Bailey said Wednesday. Beck said the FBI requested a bomb-sniffing dog at the mall for an investigation shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday. The dog indicated that a van in the parking lot had explosives, but the Lima Police Department's bomb squad found nothing, he said. Beck said it's not unusual for an explosives-seeking dog to pick out something that doesn't contain explosives. "There's a lot of things that could possibly make the explosive-trained dogs alert," he said. The van's owner was detained for visa problems and sent to the Cleveland office of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service for processing, Beck said. That agency and the FBI detained 10 others Wednesday morning in Findlay, which Beck said was related. FBI Special Agent Thomas Bailey said Wednesday that those 10 were detained, not arrested, for "visa irregularities." The 10 had paperwork indicating they entered the U.S. from Israel, he said. The man detained Wednesday night, who was not identified, may work at a mall kiosk, Beck said. The FBI would not discuss the case and said the 10 detained in Findlay worked in Findlay, Lima and Toledo, but would not say where. "I believe the person arrested was the owner of the van," Beck said. "It was a little sketchy because it was an FBI investigation." Lima Mall manager Keith Stewart said Wednesday that a mall kiosk did not open, but said he didn't know why. A woman in the Findlay Village Mall's management office Wednesday declined comment and hung up when asked if any stores failed to open. Mark Hansen, director of the Cleveland immigration office, said Wednesday he could not comment on a pending investigation. He did not return a call seeking comment Thursday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- © 2001 The Lima News

That's interesting. The History Channel just completed an hour long special on small pox and now they're doing a documentary on the Golden Gate Bridge.

I think you guys have a GREAT idea.
Have you considered writing it up as an official online petition which anyone can sign? You'd probably get millions of signatures, easy, and lots of free advertising for FReepers, lol.
