Disney and "Babe" push an agenda that's really dangerous, radical environmentalism and animal rights. To quote a certain ball-headed Irish singer, fight the real enemy.

Thank you, I thought that I was the only logical person here. They most certainly are preaching about this book destroying Christian values.

What did you learn from The Butthole Surfers?

The jingle of a dog's collar would be good right here.

But, Phantom Lord, we can't afford store bought paper for the Necessary out in the back 40! The good news is there's no light out there for them to read it before using it for what G d intended!

"I joined Free Republic during the Election Fiasco last year "

Same here. I was frustrated at what I saw, and saw the clever "Sore Loserman" signs. However, I didn't know that there were so many members of the Pretestant Taliban in the GOP ranks. I thought they all left when that nutball Pat Buchanan left the GOP. Oh well ...

If there is the potential for working supernatural magick via withcraft, it shouldn't be impossible to scientifically document. In any field, there are humans who excel. However, NO ONE has ever convincingly documented the successful workings of witchcraft in any form

The bottom line is...witchcraft does exist, and (believe it or not!) so does satanism. You can deny that its 'real' all you want, but the fact is there are people who practice these 'religions'.

Of course in a free country, everyone has the right to worship whoever they want. But from a Christian perspective - those people are going directly against God's word.

Btw, I think a lot of people on this thread are missing a point about Harry Potter. OF COURSE its fantasy, of course its fiction. Duh! The problem is that the books and movie glorify sorcery/witchcraft. To you that's no big deal. But to Christians - something that promotes sorcery/witchcraft (to kids!) is bad news.

Understand?

"D&D wasn't aimed at children."

Oh yes it was oh ye of limited memory. D&D was not a corporate boardroom game. It was played in the elementary school lunchroom.

Really, Then you don't know the Messiah? Go read Isaiah 53. Jesus was a jew, the Son of David.

I never knew God's name. Now I do. Now I can call him by his first name when I meet him.

Yeah, I'm sure Jesus read witchcraft books every day. I am not judging your soul, only God can do that, but I can judge whether or not you seem to be following Christ's path, we are instructed in the Bible (ever read it?) to use careful judgement, and to rebuke our brothers when they are in the wrong. You must be one of those new age christians who only choose the parts they like and throw out the rest. Sorry if you aren't comfortable with the entire christian religion, but that's your problem, not mine.

"Why would a witch need an airplane?"

Just so.

The number of people who get wild hairs up their wazoos about some book or other never seems to amaze me. It's like those who have pared their reading list down to one book aren't happy until everyone else is limited to the same book.

It's starting to look like there's an inverse relation between the number of books someone finds merit in and their ability to mind their own damn business and leave other people alone.

one look at your screen name tells me that you are a

nice guy

good guy who has a bit of a wild side

A bad guy who battles his conscience

blasphemer.

Or a big fan of the movie. Which of course would make him a blasphemer.

D&D wasn't aimed at children.

Really? You must not know much about it.

Back in the 80's it was D&D that was the fundamentalists bane, it was going to be the end of our youthful lives and that we would all be damned to hell and would go insane. Total hysteria.

The reason they picked D&D back then was because it was popular and got them camera time. They pick Harry Potter now because its popular and it gets them camera time. They picked Pokemon when it was popular because it got them camera time. The best way to get donations is to scare some naive fundamentalist parents. BOO!

The good thing is that the majority pays no attention to these hustlers and those that do...deserve to get relieved of their donation money to buy air conditioned gold plated doghouses for Tammy Faye anyway.
