If there is the potential for working supernatural magick via withcraft, it shouldn't be impossible to scientifically document. In any field, there are humans who excel. However, NO ONE has ever convincingly documented the successful workings of witchcraft in any form

The bottom line is...witchcraft does exist, and (believe it or not!) so does satanism. You can deny that its 'real' all you want, but the fact is there are people who practice these 'religions'.

Of course in a free country, everyone has the right to worship whoever they want. But from a Christian perspective - those people are going directly against God's word.

Btw, I think a lot of people on this thread are missing a point about Harry Potter. OF COURSE its fantasy, of course its fiction. Duh! The problem is that the books and movie glorify sorcery/witchcraft. To you that's no big deal. But to Christians - something that promotes sorcery/witchcraft (to kids!) is bad news.

Understand?

Of course witchcraft exists in the sense that there are self-professed "witches" who engage in rituals and such, but there is no correlation between their actions are external reality.

Personally, I find it amusing that somewhere in Marin County tonight a small cabal of ex-hippies will run naked through the moonlight in search of a higher power.

Even more amusing is the fact that a bunch of fundies are freaking out about them right now, considering these witch-frauds to be working for the evil axle of the universe.

The existence of people who have a belief system they call witchcraft doesn't imply that the beings or forces their belief system claims exist actually exist. (Of course, the same holds if you substitute "Christianity" for "witchcraft.")
