The media has seemed to suppress this (how many poor souls that felt compelled to jump from the burning towers) for whatever reason.
I, for one, would like to be armed with some sort of number who leaped to their certain deaths. I have a feeling, due to the "Vietnamization" taking place now, that this tidbit of data might come in handy.......right about the time some clown gets my '5 across the lips'.
Anybody have an idea as to the numbers involved here? Thanks in advance.
We should be making MANY copies of pictures of these dear, precious American Citizens (and others) jumping, make MANY copies of pictures of Ground Zero, make MANY copies of pictures of the planes flying into the Towers, MANY copies of pictures of the Towers coming down, MANY copies of pictures of the Pentagon, and MANY copies of pictures of the Pennsylvania Field (with a caption "You failed your assigned mission on this one. Did your animals still get their 72 virgins,or they burning in HELL?" and drop the photos all over the caves we know about, the Taliban front lines, and what's left of the TERRORIST training camps.
GGGGGRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
These were similiar words to my famlee members when I emailed the site to them. It is a powerful site.
I think you may be mistaken on this. I saw a story on one of the networks of a young African-American boy killed in the Pentagon. He had been at work with his father, the father left his office for another area of the pentagon (for a brief meeting or something)...the plane hit during the father's absence in the area of his office...killing the son, but the father survived!
Thats the conventional wisdom, but somehow we never get a definitive answer from survivors of fatal falls (probably because they died).
I know that my uncle, who was covered head to toe in dust from the collapse, was crying like a baby after seeing the jumpers hit the ground.
He saw his friends head blown off in Vietnam, and received a Purple Heart in combat.
I found out 2 days ago that my Grandfathers step daughter was a victim.
The victims will be avenged in spades.
It's quite likely that from such a height, the victims have already hyperventilated and were unconscious when they hit the ground.
Nice thought, but Albuquerque, NM is 4000 feet higher than this building and those people breath just fine.

'Propped up for pursuasive purposes'. What a charming phrase. You really have a way with words.
No, those who jumped are part of the horror story that was The World Trade Center on the morning of September 11th. The media sanitized that aspect of the tragedy so as not to infame the public any more than we already have been. Well, some of us, anyway.
Now, Afghan civilian casualities are being trumpeted and shoved in our faces by the Taliban and their eager liberal media shills here in the United States. A reminder of how some of our people died that morning in New York would be useful as a counter-measure against the medias ultra-short memory and concern over our enemies well-being.
Sometimes just saying 'They died' isn't enough. We need to remind the media and liberals in general that human beings had to jump to their deaths that morning because of the actions of some Arab manaics with a perverted view of America and a twisted idea of their religion and now we're supposed to get all mushy over some possible Afghan civilians who may have been killed or wounded by our bombs? I think not.
Well, it seems to me that even the so-called innocents over there should know by now if they live close to a potential target. With that knowledge, whose fault is it if they do not get the heck out of there? It's not as if our bombers were seeking out civilian targets.
Oh, I forgot...according to the Taliban (an absolutely impeccable source, of course) we are seeking out civilian targets...(sarcasm off)
Visuals are a lot more powerful than signs with words on them!!
You're right, they are all equally and unfortunately dead. But most of them did not have to die of their own volition. They were trapped. I think what horrifies us about the jumpers is the terrible choice they had to make: be burned to death or jump. They were forced to participate in their own murder. Ultimately, whether it is logical or not, people simply DO react more strongly to the images of the jumpers which means, yes, pictures of them CAN help to sustain the public's resolve to see this war through.
I don't know about the passing out in the fall, but I did have a truly near fatal fall, and I will attest to the fact that I was left with only the memory before and a bit of the rush down and that actually had a very calm and dream like quality. Absolutely nothing after that for 4 days.
I have seen photos of folks falling from heights and they look damned scared, but I would suspect the experience is close to surreal, and that time may well seem to stop. The human body has a fair amount of 'shock insulation' built into it, and the pain usually only comes later, and the terror is probably largely cut off by the body focusing in on trying to survive. In the case of someone jumping off the WTC, there would be no pain on impact I am sure.
I extend to you my condolences and sympathies, but I do not find solace in the notion of doing more of the same unto others who had no real part in it.
This country has to stay reminded that the victims were OURS on OUR soil!

PS: Did I mention that you said it SO much better than I could?
I really find the media's suppression of these images bothersome. My wife was watching the events unfold on TV that day and saw numerous shots of people trapped on the roof of both buildings. Some on TV were even wondering how the people where going to be rescued. Those pictures have never been shown again. I do not want the outrage of Sept. 11th to fade!
and that's precisely the difference between us and them.
they either do not, or will not understand our philosophical/moral
struggle with the concept that that is not the course that our creator
would have us pursue.
god help me, but it's a titanic task not to hate every swarthy one of them...
