Bin Laden and Promis Software
Foxnews ^

Posted on 10/16/2001 3:13:33 PM PDT by artios

Foxnews, Carl Cameron just reported - Spy Hansen sold software to Russinas who sold it to Bin Laden. Promis allows him to monitor all the opeartions against him including financial. Listed some countries that have stopped using it. May have missed some details - searched and saw no post. Know that Promis is a big deal and also involved with Koresh at WACO. Al-Qeada youths are as aware of cracks in the worlds financial.... as they are of the lines in their hands.. Bin Laden being in a cave is not the issue - others in his network can log in and monitor.

OK, I see a "statement" by someone that says that PROMIS can read any database ... but the links to the actual manuals show it as a project management and costing system.

Let's imagine that PROMIS can actually read any data ... first it has to have access to the data ...

Sorry, there is just too much unsubstantiated conspiracy stuff in this ... with no backup.

so it is a password issue. If not, I would love for you to explain to me how PROMIS can break its way into ANY software system.

It is real simple. Either it is a password issue or a magic issue and Frodo doesn't exist anymore more so it must be password dependent.

Yes I think the concern with ObL having purchased this software (for an alleged 2M) is, among other things, that it will allow him to monitor banking transactions which will help him in laundering money for his operations.

Is this why Reno and X42 exterminated those poor people and children?

I cannot address the rationale that was used by those sick individuals to justify an immoral and irrational act.

But what might be interesting .... remember that Japanese cartoon fiasco with the flashing lights that caused epileptic fits in people? Well, we know TrashBin Laden is using a computer ... and the Soviets supposedly developed a little something we could use:

From The Age of the New Persuaders, by Lieutenant Colonel Timothy L. Thomas, US Army, Retired, May June 1997 Military Review, p 72:

"There is another, more serious danger in the technical computer-manipulation arena, one which many Americans might expect to find in the pages of the National Enquirer. It does not involve semantic, informational or psychological devices, but focuses instead on a combination of technical and psychological devices that allegedly affect body processes. For the most part, this danger has been attributed to the Russian press and Russian scientists. Today, these scientists are studying how the display of information on computer monitors can affect the computer operator's bodily processes. They are looking for ways to manipulate the operator to make him press certain buttons or pass along or destroy certain information as if he were hypnotized. The Russians are seriously investigating the potential of this phenomenon.

There are reports that the Russians have developed "Virus 666," which displays certain color and number combinations on a computer screen to affect bodily processes. According to a Russian report delivered by a scientist from the renowned Russian Baumann Technical institute at an information Warfare conference in Washington, D.C., Virus 666 has been responsible for shutting down the bodily functions of more than 50 people, resulting in their deaths.

If this exists, why doesn't the CIA/NSA hire (or conscript or forceably draft) some of those really annoying hackers, and somehow get this little virus onto TrashBin Laden's computer?
