OXFORD, England (AP) - Chelsea Clinton settled into Oxford University on Monday, where she will begin a two-year graduate degree course next week - following in the footsteps of her father.
The 21-year-old enrolled in the prestigious university to study international relations for a master's degree. Classes begin next Monday.
Former President Bill Clinton, who helped his daughter move in on Sunday, attended the same school as a Rhodes scholar from 1968-70.
Clinton told waiting reporters that she looks forward to "everything" about life at Oxford University. She has also said that she wants to be treated as a normal student.
University officials said the former president's daughter applied for her course last January, and received a place based on evidence of her academic achievements and her academic references.
Clinton graduated in June from Stanford University with a history degree.

I guess she got over her traumatic, almost-jog around the WTC. I wonder if she got her essay for Talk ready yet.
She's beginning to look more and more like the Dem Party Mascot with each passing day.

She's beginning to look more and more like the Dem Party Mascot with each passing day. Thanks for the laugh. I truly needed it.

I thought Terry McAulliffe was the DEM mascot?

Good grief! What is it about the daughters of democratic presidents? First Amy, now Chelsea. I don't usually judge on appearance (especially when I look in the mirror), but geeeeezzz....
To: Paul Atreides
Why do you care? If Talk wants to pay her to write an article and if she wants to attend Oxford, what's the big deal?

What do you care if I care? If I want to comment on her and her article what's the big deal? No one forced you on this thread. Surely you have better things to do than be the Thread Monitor.

I'm more curious about the gal in the background with the Hillary pantsuit on....that is so obvious! Talk about kissing up!!

I'm no netcop. Doesn't bother me if you get hot under the collar that Chelsea exists. It just doesn't seem she's done anything worth getting angry about, that's all.

In the Navy and in a location I'll not reveal, the terminology was
"She's RFS." Ready For Slaughter as in "if you feed her any more she'll burst." This was most often applied to "Brem-alos."

Where on this post have I posted any anger? You confuse joking with anger. Have you been forced to go through sensitivity training?
To: spald
Ten to one that "student" behind Chelsea is her security guard and packing heat in that big bag.

Notice Chels wants to be treated like a normal student. I'm sure all the normal students have Secret Service Agents guarding them at taxpayer expense.

following in the footsteps of her father That must meant that she's going to spend all of her time getting stoned, getting laid and protesting the U.S. in other countries, after which she'll flunk out.
To: Paul Atreides
Who gives a rats a$$. Another clinton communist in training.
To: Paul Atreides
Nah. No sensitivity training here. I've just been at work for far too long today which means my patience is gone. I've seen way too many hate posts about Chelsea, which burns me up -- she didn't have a choice about her rotten parents.
But she's chosen to be a public figure now I guess, and satire goes along with it.
Eh, just ignore me this evening. I'll be a lot more sane once I've gotten some sleep.

"...
following in the footsteps of her father..."Will that include getting expelled for raping another student? Just wondering.
