As a professor of the pseudo-science of sociology, you know that you seek to reduce human behavior to it's lowest common denominator.

It is sociologists and their gullible students who glorify cop killers like mumia while dishonoring American heroes like Todd Beamer.

I'm sure you are puzzled that your behavior has created such a stir. Maybe if you studied real science you could learn to do something useful. Considering where your head is now, maybe you should consider proctology.

What this really boils down to is the Professor being intolerant of other's views and beliefs, while at the same time, claiming that the flag being displayed may cause others to be uncomfortable. That's the zany world of "new science" for you.

I hope that Dr. Singleton would be as concerned if one were to display on exhibit a Crucifix immersed in urine or other such provacative scene. We can only hope he would, or perhaps he would claim that the right to express one's self is an important right, indeed.

Most of these liberals are very comfortable seeing the flag burned since to them it represents free speech. They are very uncomfortable when someone displays the flag as an expression of free speech.

When I saw this article in the T&G my first impulse was to call the guy and give him hell. After thinking about it for a minute, I said "Naw, this guy needs to be freeped!" I'm a long-time lurker here on FR but have never posted anything or replied to a post until now. I was all set to post this article, but see that I was beaten to the punch by another intrepid Mass. area Freeper.

I teach a course at a well-known technical university. The lecture notes are on my laptop in PowerPoint. During the lecture, my laptop is on the desk with the lid up, plugged into a projector. I put an American flag on the lid so that it would show when I'm teaching. We have lots of foreign students but no complaints so far. Then again, since our students are required to have the requisite logical reasoning to handle advanced math and science, one would expect more of them than, say, sociology students (or professors for that matter).

Suppose instead of a secretary, your "lower," it had been the College President, or suppose instead of it being a woman, it had been male, maybe someone with the physique of say, Jesse Ventura? Would you have dared to snatch an American flag from someone who could fight back or had power over you?
