Osama, do you sleep while knowing the Snakeaters are waiting outside your cave?

Osoma, can you enjoy your last meals knowing your death is minutes away. Can you feel the ghosts of your victims anticipating your arrival on the other side?

Osoma, can you see the executioner's grin as the hood is placed over your head? Do you question your faith as the trap door squeeks under neath your booted feet.

Osoma, we are coming .... and we are going to send you to hell. And your grave will be spat on by millions of Americans while we subject your people to western ideologies, Chrisianity and we will build more bases on your precious Saudi Arabia to defile Mecca and Medina. And long after your gone your descendants will eath Hot Dogs and your daugters dres like Britney Spears. Burn in hell you maggott!

Yes. And he said "Father forgive them for they know what they do." He did not say, "Tough Luck Fellows! You're in for it now!" He saw thru them and into them and he asked for forgiveness for them.

Oh no. I did not take it that way, even though there is nothing wrong with a little antagonism now and then.

You seem like a reasonable and nice person. I would be remiss as a Christian if I didn't recommend that you prayerfully read the Bible. It is not about church affiliation, doctrine or denomination. It is about knowing our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. What you express here is not the way it is and I won't go any further than to invite you to read it for yourself. I really hope that you do. God's blessings, friend.

Matt 5:17-22 17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

19 Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

21 "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.'

22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell. (NIV)

There is only one name under heaven by which we must be saved. It ain't Allah.

We would love to think that perhaps in the last split second before impact, time froze and Jesus appeared in the doomed plane and invited everyone who wished to believe in Him at that very moment. A kind of Paulesque "Mohammed, Mohammed, why are you rejecting Me" moment. This however would be pressing the words of the Bible practically to the breaking point.

"Yes we are saved by grace and not by works, but that is through the blood of Jesus. Sorry, but unless this Atta had a last second conversion, we can pretty safely assume he isn't enjoying Heaven right now."

In the Catholic view there is such a thing as "invincible ignorance." If Atta really and truly, with every fibre of his being, believed that to be a Muslim and die for his faith, to hate Christians and do the killing that he did, was pleasing to God in every way. I don't think he would go to hell. If he truly thought that to be a Christian would separate him from God and he feared that separation from God, then I don't think he would go to hell.

Of course everything he believes is OBJECTIVELY wrong and always will be. But only God knows his heart and the kinds of things that influenced him to take the path he took.

Then again every person is born with "law of God written on their hearts." Everyone has an obligation to find the truth and form their conscience in the light of Gods laws. If Atta, filled with hate, knowingly embraced a God of hate for the sake of hate, then he would violate the law that God had written on his heart. And his guilt would be very great. In other words if Atta rejected the good, on purpose, after serious reflection, he's in lots of trouble.

But Atta aside, everyone who is saved is saved by Jesus death on the cross. But that does not mean you have to know who Jesus is. It mostly means he has to know who you are. Jesus said "FOLLOW ME." He can see in your heart and see by your life if you "followed him" or not even if you never heard of him. Anyway that's how Catholics see it.

"Father forgive them for they know what they do." "

And the Father would forgive them if they had asked forgiveness.

With all due respect. I think you make the same mistake that alot of us do. We base our faith on the fact that God is a loving god. The mistake is that God is also a "just" god. If God is just He can't compromise on what his word says

unfortunately, this 'superman' (so he thinks) will more than likely find out the whole islamic charade is an eternal ticket to hell. the hard way, the irreversible way, after it's *too late* to alter his eternal destiny. honest men and women, being honest about searching for the undeniable truth of this life and the *hereafter*, must analyze the costs of being wrong in this life and their eternal (i've heard many ways of trying to comprehend eternity, none of them is fathomable quite by the mind), eternal, *ETERNAL* consequences to them individually, irrespective of anyone else's actions or beliefs, and must weigh their actions on earth accordingly, but the majority don't (narrow path to heaven and wide path to destruction). God wishes that *none* should perish but that *ALL* would have *eternal LIFE* (versus perpetual cognizence of their REAL spiritual death, after we leave our shells), but gives us all a free will to choose the one, true, *LIVING* Lord God Almighty. or not.

Anyway that's how Catholics see it.

Well, I'm not Catholic so that probably explains why I don't see it the same as you do. While I agree that only God knows any and every heart, I do not see a lot of exceptions and interpretations in His Word. I can't make your theory work in my belief, but to each his own.

I never heard of the "invincible ignorance" nomenclature. I like it. I have always believed it even when as a Baptist we were being taught that little African children who had never heard the word Jesus were going to go to hell when they died. Thank you for putting a name on it.

by the way, as divined in the Word, the chasm seperating the poor souls thirsting in eternal hell only *WISH* this world could hear their cries.

Actually he can. Human judges do it. This is why you have courts of "law" and courts of "equity." I bet God can do what a human judge can do and do it much better. Remember the woman taken in adultery.

that didn't make sense. the Word says that the chasm between us on earth and those in eternal hell can't be crossed to communicate. i need to get some sleep, but i can't shut this 'puter off. freeping is a way of life, but not of sleep.

Parsifal, please read the Bible and see what it has to say. Based on everything I've ever read in it and everything that's ever been taught to me about it in a believable way, it is a belief and reliance upon Jesus Christ that saves souls. Muslims constantly and fervently reject Jesus Christ as savior. They hold Mohammed in much higher esteem than Jesus.

Your premise reminds me of something a friend of mine said one time when I was trying to witness to him. He said that he believed Jesus was the son of God, but that he didn't believe there was "one divine ticket" to heaven. I ask you how logical such a position is? God would become man in the form of His son, who would live a sinless life and die a gruesome death nailed on a cross, but that would just be one of many ways into heaven??? I'm sorry, but if there were many ways into heaven, why would God subject Himself/His Son to such?

People tend to want to believe that God is like some good-natured uncle and I think that's wrong. I don't think you can actively, persistently reject His Son, feverishly hate and try to annihilate His chosen people, and presume to buy your way into a heaven full of waiting virgins by way of killing a few thousand people, and still be blessed with God's grace. It just doesn't square with what I believe. It may be convenient to believe that as long as we have "good intentions" everything will be okay, but I don't think it's reality.

"The Jews believed that killing Jesus was "sacred and religious" he was a heretic according to the way they read the law."

Right and what did Jesus say from the cross? "Father FORGIVE them for they KNOW NOT what they do." And what was the parable where Jesus talked about the servant who was "ignorant of the masters will. Though he deserves a harsh beating, he will receive a light one." It depends on WHY you reject the Gospel. If you know that Jesus is the way the truth and the light and then you reject him, you are in serious trouble. But if you have been raised all of your life to believe that the Muslim faith is the only true faith that pleases God, it is very hard to believe otherwise just because some preacher comes along and hands you a bible. God is fair. He looks at your heart and at all the complex things that make you what you are and hinder or help your free will.

This is not to say that the Christian faith is no better than any other. It is the fullest expression of God's will. As Paul said, "Woe to me if I do not preach the Gospel."
