Those are the happiest looking prisoners and the flimsiest looking jail cell I've seen in a long time.

I understand the Taliban is kidnapping a lot of men from villages to serve in the war. These guys may really be happy!

I dunno... That's looks like the extra-heavy-duty plastic they've got up. That stuff must be at least 3 mils thick!

Those are the happiest looking prisoners and the flimsiest looking jail cell I've seen in a long time.Exactly. I wonder how many of them were forced into service by the Taliban?
That army is getting ready to collapse. If the U.S. is smart, the forces there will stay low-profile, do lots of little nasties to the leadership where and when they can and let the Taliban implode on its own.

These guys will probably turn out like the vaunted Iraqi Republican Guard. The Taliban are done and we don't have to even help. They have no friends left. Their only hope is to deliver Bin Laden's head on a platter.

What'd they get 'em on, DWIs?
Must smell lovely in that calaboose.

And here I was hoping there wouldn't ever be any captured Taliban soldiers.
You know, we have been repeatedly told that these brave warriors will fight to the death for Allah. Didn't they?
Well, didn't they?

Remeber how happy the members of the iraqi republican guard were when they surrendered?
Something tells me that the members of the taliban "army" are going to be 1000 times happier.

They are saying "Finally! Now we can shave and eat some American hot dogs with yellow mustard! Now we can call the esteemed bin Laden .... hey, 'dude'!"
To: MississippiMan
Reminds me of the Iraqi soldiers who begged to be captured by the Allies during Desert Storm.

Sheeezzz - That photo sucks! - They look Happy! Remember this 1968 Pulitzer winning photo of the execution of a Viet Cong prisoner, the captain of a terrorist squad, on the streets of Saigon...
A photo of Osama Bin Ladin, and his crew, like this would be a perfect Pulitzer bookend to the 1998 Clinton Impeachment photo.

I think James Garner From " Support Your Local Sheriff" painted cell lines on the floor

Those are the happiest looking prisoners and the flimsiest looking jail cell I've seen in a long time. Must be the same contractor as the one who built all those jail cells for James Bond and Captain Kirk.

Where would you rather be? In this "sturdy" jail, or with your comrades looking at 20 Apache helicopters coming over the hill at you?

They are probably happy to be alive. I would be in their shoes. Once the serious shooting starts, all the conscripts will fade away, leaving us fighting the hard core fanatics. These guys are probably kept in a flimsy cell because anyone sane wouldn't even try an escape, with all the power being assembled against them.

They remind me of Cheech and Chong. They are probably laughing because they are doing thier "Dave's not here" bit.

Remember that story from the Gulf War, where they found this one Iraqi soldier wearing a Chicago Bulls T-shirt? He had been visiting some relatives in Iraq (he was from Chicago) and got conscripted.
