***Pathetic TV Show, Mediocre "Stars", Our Heros Deserve Better***

And Liza with a z sounds drunk.....
What a night of disasters for TV
The first 30 minutes of the "heros" special was so bad, the acts so lame, no hits, no nothing......what a wasted opportunity.......
I couldn't take it any longer......
It seems that if the studio ain't in Nashville, the sound will be crap.......
The stars, on phones through the hour I could stand with no sound on, were never spoken to, and they were the only points of interest I could find.....all these stars and we're watching a bunch of absolutely mediocre performances by past icons who weren't even smart enought to play their hits......
I knew it was going to be a bust when Springstein DIDN'T play the only appropriate song he has, Born In the USA, and instead sang some nonesense about rise up, rise up, rise up, rise up, rise up and maybe another word or two.......
Hollywood, or whoever is going to take the fall for this absolute failure, should, IMHO get out of the business.

Gee, Wiz. Maybe they are so far outside your idea of what's right and wrong that we should forbid them from expressing their opinions. Now that would make the Taliban proud, wouldn't it?
Unless I am mistaken your TV comes with an off switch and a channel selector just like mine.
These people are doing what they can.
Lighten up.

I wouldn't give a dime to the united way since they stopped supporting the Boy Scouts

the people you speak of with contribute nothing.....

Last night on O'Reilly, Tom Clancy said,
The political left is real good at painting pictures, they like symbols. Conservative are good at building bridges that people can drive over. And they build them good because if they don't people can die. If people die, liberals are good at building memorials and making people forget they were the cause."
Kinda of paraphrased it since I don't have the tape this instant. But this is exactly what is going on tonight. They have supported the gutting of the military and intelligence services. Now they are putting on a telethon and hoping that people forget they were the cause.
You know they all voted for Clinton...

Don't know the name, they've been shilling it all day and it's too losy to worry about.....for those who you really dislike on the west coast, call and get them to watch

Interesting these actors have to nerve to get up and talk about America and their compassion. They put 1000s of people out of work during two SAG strikes and literally screwed up the business for years to come.
What I wouldnt give for Bob Hope or Cary Grant to come walking out on the stage. (ok I know thats impossible but...I can dream)

The vast majority of Hollyweed types have never, and will never be patriotic, nor will they ever really give a crap about America. Most are spoiled little snot-nosed brats, who support anti-American groups and causes.I have to agree with you BB, I'm right in the middle of it and see it everyday. I put an American flag sticker on my Suburban a few weeks ago and had neighbors acually snickering at me.

To me the novelty is not the performance but that you can talk to a major star when you call. I just saw Jack Nicholson sitting up there.

The Sci-Fi Classic, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, on AMC, in just a few minutes.....

No I'm not kidding.
If it's not for you, change the channel or read a book. But why take pot shots at a few people who are trying to do a little something for their country.
You kicking over the neighborhood kids' lemonade stand because their contribution is too small and what they should really do is sell their Nintendos and Scooters if they really want to help ...?
We are all in this together. Do you get it, yet?

Don't be a jerk. This is a great idea and these guys wil be able to raise a ton of money.

Iron Chef fans? I love the Iron Chef! Funniest show on television - my brother turned me on to it. I've got a season pass for it on my hard disk recorder!
To: The Wizard
I didn't plan on watching, but thanks for the report.

We got Jack Nicholson, Whoopi, Adam Sandler, Salma Hayek, James Woods, Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Kurt Russell, Goldie Hawn, Cuba Gooding Jr., Michael Keaton...
We now present Jon Bon Jovi's 'reflective' version of Livin' On a Prayer... It's sad that these guys like bon Jovi and Tom Petty have to change the key of their songs, because of their age...
