I appreciated the sharp instincts of the cameraman who kept panning to Hillary ... we all saw her pathetic demeanor and p*ss poor attitude. The camera also caught her making a statement to Chucky, followed by his goofy grin. WHAT DID SHE SAY? As the son of deaf (now deceased) parents, I know there are some amazingly accurate lip readers. Does anyone know a deaf person that watched (or could see a replay) the speech?

The only careful review we need is of the mental state of a large portion of the posters on these forums. I've lurked a little, posted a little these past weeks and now I'm out of here.

I've seen as much virulent hatred on these threads, directed toward our own citizens, because of their political persuasion, as I've seen in the rhetoric of terrorists past and present.

Its a minor point, but as far as I can tell from flipping around, all networks were using the same pool feed. So they all had the same angles. They got some real zingers not just on Hillary, but the Mass. Liteloafers, Commie Baba Blacksheep Lee, and Orrin Hatch wipin' snot on his sleeve.

But every time they showed Todd Beamer's wife, I got all choked up. He and the other heroes of that flight were the only reasons why this speech could be made inside the Capitol.

I know we're all biased here, but I too was struck by her bizarre demeanor--like someone who'd rather have been anywhere but there. It was downright creepy--the one jarring note in the whole event.

What's cable? Oh yeah. I used to get a bill for that every month. I vaguely remember lots and lots of movies I couldn't watch because I don't watch R movies, and this horrid scandal involving the White House occupant whose behavior introduced kids I was babysitting to the question, "Hey, what's oral sex?"

I watch network TV and read SALON because I think it's far more critical to see what the other side is thinking than to slouch comfortably into a chair while nodding in agreement with a point of view I already have. My motto is know thy enemy. We got into this boat in the first place because we don't pay enough attention to the adversary's reasoning. (It's fun to make fun of the pantsuit and the turbans, but I want to know what their next move is going to be.) (Move, singular?) (Yes, my prejudices are clear to me....)

I was watching FOX and the camera was dead-on straight
What network were you taping? If it wasn't FOX, was the angle good enough to see her lips flapping?

Yep folks, we all saw the same thing. One set of cameras, one video feed to all networks, etc. In the broadcast biz this is called a "pool feed."
