I'll be the stock market rallies tomorrow. Got to go buy some stock to help make it go up. Think I'll buy a few airlines stock just to be patriotic. Don't got much money but I can buy a few shares.

On NPR, Daniel Schorr wondered a little during the run-up BEFORE the speech whether or not Bush was up to the job. Typical of his idiotic "commentary." AFTER the speech, However, Schorr praised Bush to the skies. He was really bowled over. He said that Bush said everything that needed to be said, and he couldn't think of a thing he had left out. And that he did it in magnificent style. It's the first intelligent thing I've every heard Schorr say. It's almost as if he had been born again and seen the light.
NPR had matched liberal and conservative commentators afterward, and they both had nothing but praise as well. Extraordinary, when you consider how repeatedly NPR went out of its way to undercut Bush at every opportunity last week, with snide, condescending comments.

My fellow Texans and I thank you for those kind words. I'd like to remind my fellow freepers about an aspect of Texas law that may not be known in the other 48 states and apparently our president has remembered it. "He needed killin'" is a legal defense in Texas.

It wasn't bad for a guy who only 2 1/2 years ago was making a speech to our local Chamber of Commerce banquet.

Woodruff sure made a fool of herself! She's still smarting from her interview with Tom Clancy last week when he told her CNN, as a leader in the liberal news media, was responsible for the destruction of the intelligence community.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have never been so proud to be an American!!!
Our nation has been wounded, but not mortally. Freedom has been challenged, but our leadership has never been stronger. The hands that are folded in prayer will soon take up the sword. This tragedy could prove to be America's finest hour!
President George W. Bush--no gravitas??? What fool ever said that?
As a student of history and politics, I have never seen a better speech by anyone! And the words came from a sincere, determined, and honest heart. Lincoln, FDR, JFK, Churchill, Reagan--you have seen President Bush touch the hem of greatness tonight.
We saw the comfort and commitment of FDR after Pearl Harbor. We saw the dogged determination of Churchill, who carried Britain on his shoulers and refused to surrender. We saw the vision of JFK, who pointed our way to the moon. We saw the simple, plain-spoken eloquence of Abraham Lincoln. Moreover, we saw a man who shares Reagan's unbounded optimism and love of country
President Bush appreciates the greatness and traditions of his office. He realizes the significance of the moment, the threats to our future and way of life, and the inherent need for confident leadership.
Perhaps the tragic deaths of our citizens could bring about a great legacy for our children--the systematic annihilation of world terrorism.
Darn, I am proud to be an American tonight! We are fortunate to be living in these times. We are blessed to be living in this country. Tragic times call for great leadership. And I believe the United States of America has never been in better hands.

I just turned O'Reilly off because the two commentators he chose to critique the speech were Robert Reich and Pat Buchanan.
I didn't even think twice about switching to another station.

I couldn't believe Judy W. She is a sore loserman, always has to get in some catty little dig against GW. She'd better grow up. Ruined the moment at times.

Buchanan on O'Reilly (what a gruesome twosome):
"Well Bush won the recount tonight, but I disagree that they hate us because we stand for freedom -- they hate because we're over there, and they see as they used to see the Soviet Union. And he also didn't say that many Americans are going to die....yada, yada, yada"(loose translation, of course).
Watch out, Dick Morris, Buchanan may replace you as O'Reilly's puppet-head. Another jealous wanna-be -- he's beginning to look like Hillary.

The dems are kissing so much A@@,,they are surrendering to Pres Bush faster than the French surrender and we all know how fast they send out their white flags.
To: Miss Marple
Robert Reich is being very kind!!! He was impressed!!

I never thought I'd see the day where Reich would praise Bush. Then again, I never thought Pat Buchanan would become such a hysterical fool.

Did the same thing, Miss Marple. Turned O'Reilly off. I used to be a big Buchanan fan the first time he ran and won in New Hampshire. But something bad has happened to Pat. He is so pro-islamic, and against Israel that I can no longer stand it. His position here is indefensible. I can't take him anymore, and it's too bad as he has a fine mind otherwise. But some of his positions lately have been hard to swallow. He seems to be saying we should do nothing, other than figure out why the Taliban and Islamists don't like us. Drives me nutz. Jumped right off the program tonite. Click.

Coumo was last seen on TV the day of the attacks saying "we need to reach out to these people to find out why they feel this way about us, to see what we can do to help them, blah blah blah". As far as the media praise, even Newsweak's Howard Fineman gave it extremely high marks, to which Chris Matthews seemed extremely disapointed.

Mario Cuomo....the mouse that roared.

It's getting hard to know that PJB used to work for Reagan?
