Yeah, even Finerman may regard GW's words as having 'theatrical value'.

I'm still waiting for Mrs Brad Pitt to apologize for calling W. a f**king idiot (quote unquote), and then of course there's Julia Roberts - "republican falls between reptile and repulsive in the dictionary"....etc etc....and has anyone hear for Ms Streisand? No? not surprising....
No offense, but, I've never and I never will give a flying F what these idiots think or say.

I, for one, am still waiting for the wisdom of such erudite commentators as Mr Brad Pitt, Ms Julia Roberts and Ms Babs Streisand to weigh in on these issues of national substance.
BTW, no one at this hearth or home to watch the Hollywood flappdoodle ... not unless Clint Eastwood, Arnie Schwartz, Bruce Willis and Ted Danson are the HEADLINERS. HOLLYWOOD & HOLLYWODDITES SUCK CAMELDEW ....

I hope you are right about the Hildabeast but remember just a year before the 92 elections Bush Sr. looked unbeatable. It is worrisome that Rather and the rest are gushing over GW. Doing this frees them up to really attack him later. I would not count out Hillary until the beasts of Hell come and carry her home.

ISAACSON of TIME-WARNER (CNN & etc) is a CLINTONISTA. He may be paying a bit better attention to share-holder value, but Wally's a CLINTONISTA, through & through.

Well said. I too am again proud to be an American. I swelled with pride and pariotism while watching a great leader deliver an outstanding spech which I believe will go down in history books as a speech marking a monumental change in the dominant American political philosophy, conservative in lieu of liberal, and the beginning of the end of international terrorism. God bless you President Bush !!! LETS ROLL !!!!

I am very proud of Free Republic right now.
The entire country is starting to talk a lot like Freepers.
What incredible foresight and wisdom you have displayed in the time I have known you.
The rest of America is only starting to catch up.

Thank you for such beautiful words about the president I have loved and fought for through all the battles of getting into office, meeting the opposition, and now facing the worst attack on America.
I firmly believe God gave us this man for this time in America. I am so thankful He gave us one that is so sincere, so unpretentious and with such empathy and firmness.

Thanks.
Your sentiments about FreeRepublic are mine, also.
In the past week I've spoken with a number of people I know, about the wisdom, honesty and wealth of information FR members share.
Too bad it takes an act of war to finally get people thinking straight, but THANK GOD they have the ability change after swallowing all of the liberal crap they've been forcefed for eons.

Actually, I was more wanting to hear from SmartAlec Baldass, but I heard he had left the country (could be disinformation) and Rosie Ohdumbass but I heard she was in a bunker with her AK47 armed bodyguards.
As an aside, I haven't heard a political statement from Baldass in a long time. This is a tribute to Freepers and others who hold these @$$hole hollywoodites up to ridicule in a highly public forum when they postulate about things of which they know absolutely nothing. Keep punching those pinatas!

Ab, you are RELENTLESS........LOL.........you finally got her! I wish I could take credit. She is finally paying attention. I knew it was close though, when she called and asked me what I thought of Newt Gingrich. I told her, that I liked him, but for the most part he was demonized. She had seen him on the OReilly factor, and was amazed at how reasonable he seemed. LOL!

I was listening to NPR this evening. It wasn't my choice, really. But I was stuck in traffic and it was the only thing on other than some kind of lame-ass rap station.
One thing that really struck me was the things that the commentators were latching onto. Rather than assess the content of the speech -- and how it might have connected with the American people -- they focused on his diction, his delivery, how comfortable he looked in making the speech, the rhythm, the pacing, etc. In other words, they were more interested in the bullshit, the minutia of actually giving the speech than in what he was saying.
This seems to be a common theme among talking heads. I think it's primarily because it's what they do: Talk. They probably try to imagine themselves in the same position giving the same speech. Of course, none of them would have a chance in hell of giving such a speech. They're a bunch of broken-down, armchair political hacks who are so prissy in their demeanor and everyday banter that I want to hurl every time I hear them.
They value communication skills. That's it. They don't care for Bush's folksy sort of charisma. They constantly underestimate him. Bush keeps coming back and rubbing their faces in it. It was a great speech. I don't see how anyone could possibly argue that he isn't as good as Clinton. The difference, in my opinion, is that Bush is (a) likable, (b) honest, and (c) genuine. That was always the problem with Clinton: You had to wade through the minefield of bullshit to find the tiny nuggets of truth, if any were to be found at all. Most of the time, not.
