Bill Kristol is a JERK. He has got to be the dumbest talker ever allowed in Wash. DC and why those newspapers allow him is beyond me.

"He needed killin' " That is good. Does that work up here in Minnesota? I'm going to try it out. Funny.

I watched CBS, and just before the speech, Blather started his ramblings, I was looking at the TV saying, will you please just shut up for a minute!! Listened to his speech, and then turned it off, have no patience for these morons anymore. Glad to hear that they had positive things to say, about fricking time.

But then again, if you're not with us, you are for the terrorists. I think that counts for a few people, including that Barbar Lee person!! and our liberal press!! LOL

Dan Rather said this is the best speech since at least FDR and then he added he bets some will argue and say this is the best speech in the history of the country made by a president.

And Rather was right on target for a change.

During Larry King's show, Senator John Warner said that this was the best speech ever given by any president in American history.

President George W. Bush hit a huge Home Run tonight--with all the bases loaded.

Amazing about Dan Rather. Could the disaster actually have convinced him that he has been wrong all this time?

Ahhh, that explains it. It's Free Republic, FOX or talk radio in my domain, hehehe. I don't listen to the kiddie news sources.

What did Kristol say this time??

This speech will rouse America, the greatest nation in history - I dont even care that it is going to rock the RNC higher in political points (well maybe a little after watching Hitlery snicker 3 times on camera).

The torch is passed and the next Great American Generation will win this war. Pray for them and their parents. Some will not come back, but it is the good fight. I wish I were 2 years younger.

It must be obvious to virtually everyone that there is a great distinction between X42 and George W. Bush as they enter to Congressional applause--X42 simply soaking up attention while President Bush is entering as the President of the United States.

This may be the most ironic thing about X42--as much as he craved the "job" (as he called it) of President he could never fully fill the OFFICE because he was forever focused on himself rather than the office.

Now there's an Oriole owner to be proud of. He kinda gave it to O'Reilly tonight as well.

President Bush's speech was unquestionably the best address I've ever heard from a president. His well-delivered speech was sincere, direct, encompassing, and inspiring.

Can there be any doubt that by the grace of God, Americans elected the right man for the job?

P.S. My next door neighbor who disagrees with me 99% of the time, called me to say P. Bush's speech was good.

A former administration official compared the speech to "HENRY the FIFTH" I agree!

I wrote CNN and told them I didn't watch CNN, I watched Fox, however in going past CNN I saw a very likable, professional newsman, Aaron Brown, and commented very favorably. I said if this is Isaacson's way of trying to improve CNN, he made a smart move. I told him CNN would never increase in ratings until Judy Woodruff, the face of CNN, is fired along with Franken and that babe (I wrote her name) in the middle east. I gave him my personal opinion of Woodruff.

...the other 48 states??

I would assume that you're intentionally leaving one out (MA? CA?), but how could you pick just one? Shoot, in the wake of all this, even the 'Rats are acting American, now.

Dear Miss Marple,
I thought I was the only one in the world that did that for the same reason.
Thank you.

Darn, I am proud to be an American tonight! We are fortunate to be living in these times. We are blessed to be living in this country. Tragic times call for great leadership. And I believe the United States of America has never been in better hands.

My sentiments exactly. I just returned from a patriotic rally at our local baseball stadium in Metairie, Louisiana. We actually watched the speech live on a huge screen during the event. The outpouring of patriotism and pride was overwhelming! The crowd hated to leave even after the program had concluded.

Pat who?

O'Reilly is half blowhard to begin with, and if he stocks his show with obscure retro blowhards like Pat he could get unfamous as fast he got famous.

I meant to say I wrote that a couple of days ago, not tonight. After a speech from Bush talking about going to war, she was interviewing a democrat and brought up the social security surplus, can you believe that? The democrat told her that was very important before Sept. 11, but that it was of no importance now after what happened.
