11 Facts About the Midterms That Show That America Is in Far More Trouble Than Most People Realize
Discern Report ^ | 11/05/2026 | Michael Snyder

(The Economic Collapse Blog) — What in the world just happened? Words like “tsunami” and “wipeout” are being used by the pundits, but I don’t think that they are strong enough. It is clear that much of the population was frustrated with the Republican Party. But instead of seeking out another alternative, voters overwhelmingly chose to hand the keys to the political party that made a giant mess of things when they were in charge earlier this decade.

The 4 years of the Biden administration were absolutely horrific, and the Republicans were given control of the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives as a result. Now control of the Senate and the House of Representatives has been stripped away from the Republicans and given back to the Democrats.

Will that actually solve any of the historic problems that we are facing? Of course not. In fact, our problems are about to get a whole lot worse.

It has been a long time since we have seen anything like we witnessed last night.

It was expected that the Democrats were going to do well, but these midterm elections were a total blowout…

Control of the U.S. Senate was handed to the Democratic Party Tuesday night, as the party flipped key seats in TX, KS, NC and SC, allowing the party to secure control of both chambers of Congress in 1 of the most closely watched midterm elections in years.

Democrats secured victories in key races, including in the key battleground state of GA, where Jon Ossoff won reelection over President Donald Trump’s pick, Republican Mike Collins, and in TX, where state representative James Talarico flipped the seat blue, beating current state Attorney General Ken Paxton.

In SC, Republican Darline Graham was defeated by Democrat Annie Andrews, becoming the 1st woman to be officially elected to statewide office in the state and adding to the list of 7 seats flipped by the party.

At the beginning of this calendar year, all of the experts would have told you that there was no way that this could happen.

But it did.

Many on the right are suggesting that this is just 1 election and that Republicans will bounce back in 2 years.

Maybe.

But to me it appears that America has been steadily drifting to the left.

So what is the outlook for the future of our nation as most of the population embraces leftist ideology?

The following are 11 facts about the midterm election results that show that America is in far more trouble than most people realize…

#1 As older voters that tend to be more conservative pass away, they will be replaced by younger voters that tend to be more liberal. One nationwide exit poll found that approximately 70% of voters under the age of 30 voted for Democrats in these midterm elections…

The AP Voter Poll shows about 7 in 10 voters under 30 nationally say they supported the Democratic candidate in their local U.S. House race, while about 3 in 10 say they voted for the Republican.

#2 On Tuesday, Virginia became the latest state to legalize abortion all the way up to birth…

Virginians overwhelmingly voted on Tuesday to enshrine the right to kill unborn babies through abortion into their state constitution.

Virginia voters approved “Question 1” — which creates a right to abortions up until the moment of birth in the state — 61.4% to 38.6% with 86% of votes counted, the Associated Press (AP) projected.

While the measure allows for restrictions on abortions in the 3rd trimester, the restrictions must have exceptions for a patient’s health or if the baby is likely not going to survive — wording which opponents say creates a loophole to allow abortion on demand in the state at the discretion of pro-abortion doctors.

#3 Prior to the midterms, there were 2 socialists serving in the U.S. House of Representatives. Now there are 7…

Socialists more than doubled their numbers in the House after a series of expected midterm election wins in Democratic strongholds.

Far-left candidates backed by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) were projected to win at least five House races, expanding the number of avowed socialist lawmakers in the lower chamber from 2 to 7.

The DSA winners joining “Squad” socialists Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) in the House include: Melat Kiros of CO; Chris Rabb of PA; Claire Valdez and Darializa Avila Chevalier, both of NY; and Donovan McKinney of MI.

#4 What were the voters in MI thinking? For at least the next 6 years, a radical Islamist named Abdul El-Sayed will be a U.S. Senator…

Abdul El-Sayed will be a U.S. Senator, the 1st Muslim man elected to the world’s most exclusive club.

An overwhelming blue wave was enough to propel the socialist-linked El-Sayed to victory despite several bumpy final weeks for the radical candidate — which included poor debate performances in which an energized and aggressive Republican Mike Rogers put the testy Democrat on his back foot. The final weekend before Election Day, his primary rival, Rep. Haley Stevens, switched her endorsement to Rogers over antisemitic rhetoric and other comments and positions she deemed dangerous.

#5 When Abdul El-Sayed got up to deliver his acceptance speech, it took him less than a minute to start speaking in Arabic…

Abdul El-Sayed proudly introduces himself as Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed, America’s 1st Muslim senator, and then starts speaking in Arabic.

Americans better brace themselves. The communist and Islamic takeover has officially begun.

#6 The number of Muslims serving in the U.S. House of Representatives has now risen to 6…

Ilhan Omar (MN)

Rashida Tlaib (MI)

André Carson (IN)

Lateefah Simon (CA)

Adam Hamawy (NJ)

Darializa Avila Chevalier (NY)

#7 SC was supposed to be a solidly red state. On Tuesday, SC sent a Democrat to the U.S. Senate for the 1st time in more than 20 years…

One of the highest-profile losers in the midterms was Darline Graham, who failed to claim the Senate seat her brother Lindsey held for 23 years.

Her loss means that SC has a Democrat in the Senate for the 1st time in 21 years, since Ernest ‘Fritz’ Hollings retired in 2005.

It is a remarkable result in a state that Trump won by 17.9 points in 2024. And it is all the more astonishing given that Trump himself hand-picked Graham for the job, anointing her as the rightful heir to her brother’s seat.

#8 Usually there is no hope that a Democrat will win a Senate race in KS. But on Tuesday, a far-left Methodist pastor became the 1st Democrat to win a Senate seat in KS since 1932…

Adam Hamilton, a 62-year-old pastor and farmer, became on Tuesday the 1st Democrat elected to represent KS in the Senate in almost a century.

George McGill won re-election in 1932, but after he left WA-DC in 1939, KS has been determinedly red.

And when Hamilton launched his campaign, it was seen as a long shot: the last time it was even close was 1974, when Republican Bob Dole squeaked across the line.

10/30/2026: Protestia.com - "UMC Pastor Adam Hamilton Says ‘Many’ Of The Attacking Men In Sodom Were Actually Heterosexual"

Adam Hamilton is the senior pastor Church of the Resurrection, a multi-site United Methodist megachurch with 9 locations with over 24,000 active members, making them the biggest UMC church in the country and 1 of the largest Methodist churches in the world. He’s also running as the Democrat Senate candidate in KS.

We’ve previously covered the progressive, pro-LGBTQ, pro-choice Hamilton after he claimed that there are hundreds of mistakes in the Bible, and after he preached a sermon about Mary Magdalene, arguing that the apostle Paul was wrong about the issues of women and ministry.

In a recently unearthed sermon, Hamilton explains MANY of the men of Sodom who were part of the attempted gang rape of 2 angels in Genesis (who they believed were men) were actually HETEROSEXUAL.

“Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.” Genesis 19:4-5.

#9 Many were hoping that after these midterms both parties would choose to work together for the good of the nation. But instead, Chuck Schumer is pledging to “launch investigations” and entangle President Trump “in legislative razor wire”…

Schumer said now, “Americans are calling for accountability, not accommodation.”

“They want us to check on Trump’s chaos at home and abroad,” he said.

The minority leader pledged that, “Whenever Trump defies the will of the American people or the law, we will launch investigations, take him to court, and entangle him in legislative razor wire.”

#10 Democrats won statewide races in TX by large margins on Tuesday. If Democrats are able to produce these sorts of numbers in TX in 2028, there is zero chance that they will lose the race for the White House…

The Lone Star State was emblematic of how the night went for Republicans, with Democrat James Talarico defeating Republican Ken Paxton by a whopping 12 percentage points for the party’s 1st Senate race victory since Lloyd Bentsen in 1988.

Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, seeking a 4th term in office, was also swamped by the blue wave, losing to Democratic state lawmaker Gina Hinojosa by 7 points.

#11 After surveying the carnage, Ron DeSantis is warning that it appears that the Republicans might not have a shot of retaking control of the U.S. Senate until 2032…

“Dems will get 55 Senate seats and 250+ House seats. Looking at the Senate map and considering such a massive House margin, it is very unlikely Republicans will recapture the Congress in 2028. Might not have a shot at Senate control until 2032.”

Anyone that thinks that Democrats are going to magically fix things is just being delusional.

If they were going to magically fix things, why didn’t that happen while Joe Biden was in the White House for 4 years?

And just look at how virtually all of our largest cities have degenerated under the leadership of Democrats.

Nearly every major system and every major institution in this country is broken.

Our society is literally in the process of collapsing all around us, and American voters are counting on the Democratic Party to come up with some sort of a miracle.

Good luck with all that.

You know the election was stolen when:

1. Texas counties went blue for federal candidates, but STAYED RED FOR STATE RACES

2. Initiatives like transgender and voter ID went republican in the same states that democrats allegedly “won.”

Anyone care to add to this list?

A lot of disturbing facts.

Remember “Murphy’s Law”?

There was a button and a bumper sticker:

Correct. Things are bad enough thw followimg occured:

Democrat Richard Ojeda defeated incumbent Representative Richard Hudson, the Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), supposedly one of the safest Republican districts, to flip North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District.

Ojeda’s campaign was officially supported by Rebellion PAC, a political action committee fronted by The Young Turks co-founder Cenk Uygur.

Rebellion PAC is the same organization that created the supermarket advertisement backing Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed.

Rebellion Pac is reported to have went 5-5.

Matt Walsh

“Joel, have you ever specifically lectured black women for voting almost exclusively for Democrats? Also, if young white men are angry at the Republican Party and Trump, might the Republican Party and Trump bear some blame for that or is it all the fault of “conspiracism” and “anti Semitism”? Is it possible that you might have gotten the affordability issue totally wrong and actually young men are indeed getting screwed by this economy and are holding their political leaders accountable for it? At what point do you guys engage in some of the self reflection that you are encouraging in others?”

https://x.com/MattWalshBlog/status/2118448437641544078

Most Americans support Trump’s strong border control, but young white male voters (and others) are tired of never ending warring and infinity Indians being brought into the U.S., especially through H1B, and also in the light of how multiple scientific studies show that white, black, etc, U.S. citizen college seniors outperform their cheap labor import college senior counterparts in India and China in STEM/IS/CS. etc.

When you make perfect the enemy of good this is what you get. The voters see black pills trashing everything and figure they’re right and they vote left. I’m glad I only have 15 or so years left to enjoy what the black pills have brought on us along with the commies. Useful idiots all. I’ll vote to hasten it.

In the first paragraph, this writer talks about how people didn’t seek out another alternative. But instead voted Democrat.

We may wish it weren’t that way. But the fact is, we have a two party system, and very few people outside the two party system, win elections.

If you want to vote libertarian, constitution party or any others go for it. But you’re not going to elect people from those parties, the way our system is structured right now.

If anybody wants to start a new party, go for it. But just keep in mind, it’ll take the number of election cycles to make such a party viable.

KS has been determinedly red.

Red, but not always MAGA red. Nancy Kassebaum's shade may have been more like pink, as her voting record wasn't all that different from Ted Kennedy's. And Bob Dole was hardly a conservative paragon.

The British system

Electing people by districts with “winner takes it all” basically forces the two party system.
In some places, there are also some viable regional parties (Scotland), but in general two party system is in Gb, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Australia, NZ, etc. All using this British electoral system,

In continental Europe and Israel, people vote for parties.
So there are many, many parties, each getting few percent, but then these parties have to agree on some coalition as none can rule alone.

The writer didn’t even mention that our pathetic Congress piled on some $2,000,000,000,000 on the national debt in their filthy term, all this on top of the debt of $40,000,000,000,000.

None of the MSM outlets, politicians from either party, uniparty types, or citizens rarely mention it. Occasionally you might hear a snippet but that’s it.

The Great Collapse isn’t far away, prepare wisely.

You have to treat them like Russia does. With respect but with an wary eye on their activities. They have around a 14% muslim population. They are susceptible to CIA and other like minded agencies to be used for nefarious reasons, just like we use a lot of the middle east muslims that way. We have slightly more that 1% of them here in the US.

Texas now has a Democrat-
State House of Representatives
Governor
Lieutenant Governor
Attorney General
Land Commissioner
RR Commissioner (in charge of all energy issues)

The only aspect staying pink is Texas Senate.

The Great Collapse isn’t far away, prepare wisely.

It's coming. Maybe the Reckoning happens next year, or in 20 years, but it's coming.

I already consider the United States a failed state.

The amount of debt is so incomprehensibly large, there aren't good historical examples to use for comparative analysis.

The financial collapses of France in 1789 and Germany in 1922 are small potatoes compared to what's coming.
