More than 1.1 million votes have been cast for the November election, with the in-person early voting option now available in more than half the state.
The state Division of Elections posted Tuesday morning that just over 171,000 people cast ballots at in-person early voting locations that became available in more than half of Florida's 67 counties on Monday. Early in-person voting is mandatory statewide starting Saturday through Oct. 31.
Another 933,000 ballots have been cast through the mail from among the 13.7 million Floridians registered to vote in the Nov. 3 contest.
Ulysses Roberson, a Tallahassee voter at the Lake Jackson Community Center on Monday, said he preferred early voting as "you don't have to fight the crowd."
"We fought for this vote and our civil rights. I've come out here and done it because of that," Roberson said. "My ancestors always did this. When I was coming up, they always told us in my family to do this."
Before the early voting locations opened in Leon County on Monday, Supervisor of Elections Mark Earley encouraged voters to consider the option "as a way of avoiding lines on Election Day."

Any indication of who’s showing up?
FLA has 1.5 million more registered republicans than democrats.
Early voting is not just looking good in Florida but also Texas with record turnouts in counties throughout the state!
GOP is starting to vote early and not waiting for election day.
i read the other day counties that voted for Trump in huge margins Texas in 2024 are exploding with early voting...
I’ve been in Florida for over 40 years. I have never voted early because I don’t trust any of it. St. Lucie County has Gertrude Walker as SOEβ¦she’s been corrupt since at least 1980 and definitely delivers BLUE for this county as much as she ls able to hide it. Spit
Well, we went in Reno this afternoon and our polling site wasn’t busy at all. We do what we can. πππΊπΈ
Not sure why you feel so superior.

Hi Gertie! π
Superior???? I’ve watched the absolute corruption and coverups for over 40 years! If that’s “superior”, I think you need a dictionary.
And welcome to the forums! π€£
You ain’t lasting long.....

Not after early vote counting is done.
Here in the central Florida area it has been leaning heavily Republican from what I have seen and heard.
I mailed my ballot today in FL.
Zero votes for democrats. Yes for prop # 3.
St John’s county where I live is pretty solid republican, not to mention has highest average income compared to all other counties in FL. I vote by mail every time.
Breaking Update: Polls are predicting a blue wave, but that's not what early voting is showing everywhere (major movement in last 3 days shown by arrows)
