The US military on Sunday struck Iran’s Larak Island, where forces were observed preparing to launch rockets with mines into the Strait of Hormuz, according to a US official, marking the first US strikes in over a month.
US forces struck two Iranian launchers on the island, the official said. Residents reported hearing an explosion near Larak Island on Sunday, according to Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency.
Larak Island is near the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route that has remained at the center of regional tensions and diplomatic efforts.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps vowed retaliation on Sunday after accusing what it described as a “US-Zionist enemy” of carrying out an attack on Larak Island that it said resulted in casualties among Iranian forces and civilians.

We need to keep hitting them.
At a minimum go after air defense, missile and drone launch sites, manufacturing, command and control.
Even if we reduced them a lot. If we let them amass, a slow trickle of new systems being added will eventually equate to them shooting off 100+ drones in a night again and Trump need to worry about perceptions.
If Iran does this, it creates the “appearance” as if we didn’t reduce them.
I’m sure the safety of our airmen and sailors plays a role in these decisions, but “in the bigger picture” this has largely become a PR war with many in the West cheering for Iran!
