What began as a night of high-society networking and political ribbing at the Washington Hilton turned into a harrowing survival scene. A-list celebrities, government officials and media power players were calmly seated in the ballroom when the festive atmosphere was punctured by the sound of a violent security breach.

To be honest, nothing wrong with it. The bottles would have been dumped and thrown away by the organizers.
I don’t like to think I was the only one who found the primping, prancing media prima donnas looking for our sympathy. They are vicious, lowlifes who undermine the American Way of Life. I’m not sympathetic to them in their limos, tuxes, gowns, $1,200 heels, and being fawned on by staff.
Last night was no calamity, but it could well have been. I’m glad no one was killed, and hope the judicial process is swift.
WHY, after avoiding it for so many years, would Trump agree to attend the WHCD????
Trump continues, infuriated by subsidiary losses on his side. In sympathy, the midterms go all in on Trump's side, giving him a free hand to strike back. Replacements for any lost Republicans in that scenario would be far more rabid.
And what about for those lost on the left. A large chunk of experienced lefty media royalty would be gone. There usually are notable congress critters from both parties present. Those on the left might also get replaced from the same side, but their replacements would be less experienced and less willing, post disaster, to take as bold positions. The left would be weakened beyond its huge lost numbers.
