And those businesses will reimburse Americans who had to pay more, right?

Those refunds would mainly be pure profit for anti-American worker importation companies.

Congress could levy a 100% tax on such income prior to the checks getting cut.

Congress could then hand out the revenue in Gas Price Help Refunds (about $600 each) to American citizens.

I believe that the foreign exporters largely swallowed the ‘costs’ of the tariffs. The American importers of products covered by the tariffs will be getting what is, in essence, a windfall.

I agree. Some interesting unintentional consequences. Where will they spend it? Better spent by business than NGO and govt? The ball is still in play.

Congress should place limits on the lawyer fee on class action suits. But they wont

My 11 year old grand daughter could have made a better decision than the SC did. What a bunch of Num sculls.

Nor will the shareholders get any money. It will all go into the bonus pool for the corporate execs.

So many of court decisions are pathetic jokes...as are many in the judicial branch.

Oh, that trickles back into the US economy. The lawyer buys the cocaine, the pusher takes the money and buys a car, the car dealer takes the money and pays the CEO, the CEO buys more stock, and the stock market goes up. So... yeah. There we go.

The people who ruled in favor of this stupid decision are incompetent.

That's only going to happen in rare cases where a line item was added to an invoice to reflect a tariff paid on a specific product. I believe FedEx and UPS were doing this for international shipments, for example.

But if you bought a car that with a price tag that was $5,000 higher in 2025 than in 2024 because of the tariffs, then you're out of luck. The auto manufacturer is going to get a $5,000 refund and you are going to get $0 from them.

The Supreme Court decision was correct on the merits of the case.

The only surprise to me was that it wasn't a 9-0 decision.
