Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida accused Democratic Sen. Ruben Gallego of misconduct on Thursday, which Gallego denied.
Luna told CBS News' "The Takeout with Major Garrett" that the Arizona Democrat was the previously unnamed senator whom she said was facing "very disturbing" allegations in a cryptic social media post earlier this week.

The Narrow/Technical Denial: Answering a narrowly crafted, often irrelevant part of a question, making it sound like a full denial.
Conspiracy Theories: Discrediting accusations by stating or implying they are irrational
The “Straw Man” Denial: Fabricating a false, extreme accusation and denying that, rather than the real, more subtle accusation.
Blaming the Question/Process: Dismissing the accusation as “unworthy of response” or “taking advantage of a poorly worded question”.

I’ve learned that if a topic is officially labeled a “conspiracy theory” Grok pretty much writes off any information “peddled by the conspiracy theorists” unless specifically asked about it.
The libel/slander works in our world, which is why they use it.
Luna needs to start a movement to expose the people who used federal money to pay off the victims of congressmen. She should call it the Gallegos Bill or something much more clever than I can think of at the moment.

At some point, the media may just shrug and say, “Yeah, everybody knew about this guy.” They did that with Swalwell. Just refused for years to report what they knew, but then when it was common knowledge, they said, “Who didn’t know this? Duh.”
It seems obvious to me that Congress has a lot of sleazy characters, and the media knows about many of them, and the media protects them, until the media is given the signal that one of them needs to be destroyed.
At no point will any journalist just suddenly sit up and say, “I know I can get a Pulitzer Prize! I’m just going to report on these 6 sleazy characters I know about! I’ll write a detailed expose, get them thrown out of Congress, and I’ll be famous!” That’s just not how the system works these days.
“Conspiracy theory” is demspeak for, “Media, ignore and obfuscate this.”
And as far as I know Trump has no allegations of improper sexual behavior/conduct while president

So this is the part I don’t really understand. The Democrat party (supposedly) took down Swalwell. By anybody’s readings, this dude‘s finances were a mess before this started, and they have completely destroyed this guy‘s life. There is nothing more dangerous than a cornered animal, which Swaleell is at this time. Where are all the allegations that could be easily leveled against the people who did not stand behind him?
