Report: Israeli commando units participated in rescue of US navigator. Iran International reported that the IDF commando units Shaldag and Sayeret Matkal took part in the American operation to rescue the F-15 navigator whose aircraft was shot down in Iran.

Almost certainly Israel has had units on the ground since well before this all started. They’ve been picking off government officials and attacking militiamen manning roadblocks all along.

P.S. - 98% of Israelis in the IDF who I’ve met speak fluent English, many better than most Americans.

I think the headline overstates what the article says, which is that they provided intel and avoided making any air strikes in the area. So it sounds like no direct involvement.
