President Trump took aim at insurance giant State Farm and other providers by accusing them of abandoning Southern Californians devastated by last year’s wildfires.
In a scathing Truth Social post on Tuesday, Trump singled out State Farm, calling the company and others like it “horrendous” for failing homeowners who had faithfully paid premiums for years.
“People have been paying them large premiums for years, only to find that when tragedy struck, these horrendous companies were not there to help!” the president wrote.

Takeaway: Are there any insurance companies that are not horrendous?
Waiting for liberals to come out and defend the insurance companies since Trump is against them
They won’t defend insurance companies. They will just accuse Trump of trying to enrich himself (somehow) at the companies’ expense.
he’s sure right about insurance companies!!!!!!!!!!!!
our insurance company’s sales agents are spectacularly courteous and helpful. but whenever anyone needs to file a claim, even for the most obviously justified loss... prepare to hire attorneys if you want to collect beyond that first very small “good faith” advance cheque
You have State Farm, too? HArrumph!
Wow. Sounds like FEMA...
But the poor insurance companies had to pay out all that money to the victims of the many hurricanes and storms that were forecasted (that they raised rates for) on the east coast. Oh wait, no they didn’t.
State Farm still owes me $500 for deductible that I had to pay to fix my car after an uninsured motorist plowed in to it.
Trump is failing to acknowledge the legal conditions promulgated by California state that led to a number of insurers ending their business in California. The pull out did not happen merely on the occasion of the Palisades wild fire. The signals from the insurers preceded that.
Insurance regulation is a state matter, not one for the federal government. There may be some legislative options under the Commerce Clause, but there’s no enumerated power in the Constitution for the president or congress to regulate insurance within the states.
“You have State Farm, too? HArrumph!”

They’re all the same.
Well, if Jake would go to actual work instead of hanging around the NFL so much.
Trump has a habit of being generous with other people’s money. He bailed out the high tax blue states on SALT. Now he would bail out homeowners whose state government made their houses uninsurable. State Farm was one of the dumb enough to stay.
He would also bail Obamacare recipients.
