The shift towards socialism similarly mirrors the Democratic party’s leftward shift, but a deeper look reveals that those favoring "socialism" have no understanding of what it actually means.
Findings from a Fox News poll released Friday indicate that a historic high of 38% of registered voters now consider it positive for the country to shift from capitalism toward socialism, marking an increase from 32% in 2022 and 18% in 2010.
The shifting sentiment towards socialism may not necessarily reflect fuzzy feelings for its ideals, but rather a lack of understanding of what those ideals are, according to professor of political science, Nicholas Giordano. “Sometimes the simplest explanation is the best explanation. People are gravitating toward socialism because they've never really been taught what socialism is," Giordano told Just The News.
"Ask any student today to define capitalism or socialism, and you would be hard-pressed to get a coherent, straightforward response,” Giordano added.

Americans aren’t the same people they were decades ago, we have been replaced by third worlders.
They know exactly what it means. To them it means free shit and stick it to whitey. Nothing else.
All around the world, countries embrace socialism, then their citizens risk life and limb to escape it (usually to capitalist countries like the U.S.)
They are blaming capitalism for the evils of creeping socialism.
Some of us grew up during a time in which there was almost a laboratory experiment of capitalism vs. socialism with the side-by-side existence of East and West Germany. The middle class in East Germany was worse off than the poor in West Germany. We remember.
That doesn’t mean that we can run downtrodden over the poor. Morality very, very strongly dictates against that. But good intentions that some might have regarding the benefits of socialism fail entirely when facing certain economic walls of truth.
The govt brainwashing facilities otherwise called schools have been hard at word. Socialism is popular with semi-literates. They can’t really understand what it is. Socialist programs funded by voluntary donations can have a positive effect. Forced socialism is simply slavery.
Normal working people realize that the whole system of taxation,wealth,justice,etc is built against honest working people...they are sick of being oppressed so want into the system...right or wrong,you can’t blame them.
Lets Ignore reality.

Way back when I was still in high school my father tried to get the state legislature to force the state board of education to require at least a semester economics for high school graduation. He failed. The strongest opponents were not the teachers union (I don’t remember it as being particularly strong back then.) but the local industrial unions.

The stupidity of post 1980 college grads in US history is astounding.
The answer may be in summer internships of high schoolers in 3rd world countries.
May cost a bit but they’ll learn a lot. Give them credits in government.
