You may be paying much more or less for gas than others. I'm in Colorado. Gas in my location is $2.99, while the Colorado average is $3.35.

It's not the oil company, it's your location, your nearby refining capability and other factors, look deeper.

So by default, the MSM should have been reporting on how LOW the gas prices were. Now it’s like Look at how high they are compared to what you were paying for Trump’s first year in office. And its like what is the free world supposed to do, just let dictators run free because they are in the Middle East and it’ll effect gas prices? Once this is over I hope we see gas plummet to under $2 a gallon, in normal states that is.

Im tired of hearing about the gas price run up. It is a side issue. Gas is priced at the cost of replacing it at the dealers.
We source most of our oil in our hemisphere. In the people’s republic of cal, the biggest cost of gasoline is TAXES.

3.59, it was just below 3.00 a few weeks ago I think. Pittsburgh suburb. If it goes back to where it was by May, that will be hood. Years ago, some pollster said elections affected by gas price in May. Not sure if any validity.

So the war/DJT is the reason for the escalating gas prices?

Which party is preventing the United States from becoming energy independent?

Which party is fights the exploration and extraction of oil and natural gas all over the United States?

How much of our oil comes from the Middle East?

What was the justification for the gas prices under Biden?

Why are the majority (if not all) of the states with the highest gas prices run by the Democrat party?

Inquiring minds (which, apparently, doesn’t include journalists) want to know . . .

“Im tired of hearing about the gas price run up.”

After 40 years of it, me too. The price goes up and down due to the cost of various parts of the chain, WHEN the product was bought, where it was bought, and what kind of oil it is, which controls how difficult it is to refine, taxes, etc.

And when the price of diesel is higher, it costs more to deliver the gas and diesel to you, shocka!

The U.S. could be 100% energy independent, and it wouldn’t matter.

That would have meant something when it was illegal to export crude oil, but not anymore. If the global price of oil is $100/barrel, then nobody is selling it here in the U.S. for $60/barrel despite any delusions Americans might have.

It should be remembered that the gasoline that is in the tanks underground was refined and pumped there before the war started and was exempt from increase in oil per barrel.

All of a sudden the MSM has noticed the gas price increase after ignoring the price decreases for all of 2025.
Also don’t recall too much coverage of the soaring gas prices under Biden and his raping of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to bolster Democrats in the midterm elections.

yes. hearing whining about $3.375 gas while people are dying to free others and to protect us from future attacks or worse is irritating. and of course we, the sane minority, in Cali would like to be liberated from leftie lunacy and $5.00 gas.

You’re close to our old family ranch, haven’t even been able to visit it in quite a while, hope things are good there. Got it leased to guy who keeps some cattle on it and we lease to local LEO’s for their deer hunting. That pays the taxes and upkeep on the house. It’s SE of Brownwood. Are the feral pigs bad these days? The size of some of them is horror movie stuff.

Remember the state and federal tax: on diesel its .40 federal and state.38 state. (TX)
Biggest help to economy and food prices would be to eliminate federal fuel tax.

Right, the energy biz is hard to fathom if you haven’t worked in it or around it.
