How [President] Trump will use his State of the Union to sell skeptical midterm voters on his plans (Barf Alert!)

President Donald Trump's State of the Union address Tuesday is likely to be a test run of the message Republicans will give to voters in November's elections for control of the House and the Senate.

The president and his party appear vulnerable, with polls showing much of America distrusts how Trump managed the government in his first year back in office. In addition, the Supreme Court last week struck down one of the chief levers of his economic and foreign policy by ruling he lacked the power to impose many of his sweeping tariffs.

Though Trump is expected to focus on domestic issues, his intensifying threats about launching military strikes on Iran over its nuclear program cast a shadow over the address.

Here are a few things to watch as Trump tries to make his case:

Economy & Immigration

Blame Everything on Brandon

Foreign Policy

Snotty 'details' at link. Wow. Just, WOW!

"Trump has made the State of the Union his own

The State of the Union used to be about recapping accomplishments and seeking to unite the country, but it increasingly reflects divisions in society.

'What you're going to expect is some version of a campaign speech in which the Democrats are the villains, the Republicans he likes are the heroes, and he is the savior not only of the nation but of the globe,' said Kathleen Hall Jamieson, a communications professor at the University of Pennsylvania.

Trump supporters might cherish the moment in 2020 when the president midspeech reunited a military family. He also bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Rush Limbaugh, the conservative radio host and author who died in 2021. But that moment turned off Democrats who saw Limbaugh as a destructive figure in political media.

While some presidential phrases endure, much of the rhetoric in State of the Unions is forgettable. And with Trump — who's known for veering off-script — there's a good chance a stray comment or a social media post could step on his message."

Trump should pretend the Democrats do not exist. Please do We’ve got a job to do. I wish he would implement more conservative policies but his populism will work for now.

The first thing he should do is surround Omar the Somali Turdmaker’s “people who have been detained” with ICE agents in the bleachers. If those Skinnies try to make a scene, arrest them.

That’s not the case? :-) Trump has had a good year and will just tell the truth which may be painful for democrats to hear.

I am expecting him to slam his fist on the podium in front of the Wehrmacht in subdued lighting.

Oh...that’s the other guy. Nevermind.

Will the dems sit on their hands when President Trump points to the US Hockey team in the gallery? They did for the little boy fighting cancer.

Not with their thumbs in their ears. I expect them to feel that they have to behave worse.

“...polls showing much of America distrusts how Trump managed the government in his first year back in office...”

Yeah, they mistrusted him all the way to their bank.

Do these Americans believe we were better off under Joe Biden? Or would have been better off with Kamala Harris as POTUS?

Mamdani in New York should give them a preview of what the likes of Newsom will impose if elected POTUS.

The typical leftwing uppity and nasty made up garbage. This is some ugly hateful persons opinion and not news. National Enquire garbage. I couldn’t even stomach one paragraph. Come on folks they are putting down the 80 million citizens who duly elected him. Shun all the leftwing medias. They have become our enemy and hate us and our country.

Agreed. Ignore them. Don’t even look in their direction except when scolding because of their insistence on putting Americans lives in danger.

This is a pivotal moment to influence the upcoming election, and it’s an opportunity we shouldn’t miss.

President Trump doesn’t rely on charm like Ronald Reagan, being slick like Bill Clinton, or being cool like Obama. He’s a builder from New York—direct, determined, and sometimes blunt.

If I were advising President Trump, I would suggest he speak plainly and directly—in clear, simple language that even a third grader can understand. Whether you’re a Democrat, Independent, or Republican, many would agree that the previous administration left a mess behind.

He could frame it this way: Think of me as the repairman you call when your home has fallen into disrepair. Repairs can be inconvenient. They create noise, dust, and disruption. But meaningful restoration takes time, effort, and persistence. I need your help to make our country strong and stable again. The Democratic party has chosen obstruction which only slows progress.

My success is your success; my failure is your failure. I believe the Democratic Party has chosen opposition over solutions, offering resistance rather than constructive partnership. They have not accepted the responsibility that they created the very problems we’re now trying to fix.

I have my sleeves rolled up and have been hard at work for the American people. And yes while you’re rebuilding, dust will be kicked up along the way.

I will continue to speak openly and directly to the American people. Unlike politicians who carefully calculate every word, I say what I believe. At times, you may wish I were more measured in my tone—but you know where I stand, and you know I will speak honestly.

I’m asking for your support. I need your support for us to succeed as a nation. Send a message this November that constant opposition is not what you want—that constructive cooperation is. If you want this national revival completed on time and under budget, support the Republican Party this November. Let Democrats know their role is not to block progress, but to help build a stronger America for all of us, now and for future generations.

“They have become our enemy and hate us and our country.”

They are and they do! However, it’s important to know what your ENEMY is up to at all times. (I learned that in the Army!)

The brainwashing of the unwashed masses continues unabated. :(
